If he makes it through tonight without committing and leaves Lexington, I'll think our odds are pretty good as long as the rumor is true that we're offering the most money by a decent margin. Otherwise I think it's generally pretty hard to commit to basically a blank canvas roster, especially for a guy like Wilkerson with one year left.

I feel like we are on watch right now for both Wilkerson and Conerway.  As far as I've heard, Conerway doesn't have any other visits set up.

UK already has 12 on the roster.  Would Wilkerson really want to take the last spot, and fight for minutes in his last year. More NIL $$$ and more playing time will surely be the draw.

I know that Wilkerson is the more highly regarded player, but dang, something about Conerway feels to me like he’s flat out perfect for Devries’ system.

Could be. Or it could be he has been given his max offers by everyone and IU called in the godfather offer and gave him a time table of a couple days because we have other offers we want to get out. Auburn could be out just based on the smallest offer. They have to have an expensive existing roster.

Or Auburn is nowhere near the ballpark in terms of what IU or UK are offering. These guys have agents now, he’s visited two schools this weekend and will almost guarantee LW’s agent phoned Auburn today and said, “Here’s where you need to be to even sit at the table”.
