I don’t want to speak for everyone, but I think we need a really superior performance from our team the entire year to really jump start this program and to end this thread once in for all, which is what some on here want. 
 

I think no less than 2nd in Battle For Atlantis.  2nd in the B10 conference season,  2nd in the B10 tournament, top 2 seed in the NCAA tournament, and at least an elite 8 appearance.  If that happens, I bet this thread goes away, IMO

This thread will definitely go away when iu basketball is back or close to where it should be. So your criteria would definitely Qualify. If we are in line for a 2 seed in ncaa tournament this thread will be quiet because we would be having a pretty good season imo. We will find out soon enough in about 2 and a half months

I am glad someone finally and actually gets my post!  We all want the program to progress and succeed but the first 3 years of MW’s tenure has been mediocre.  Now that he has the most complete roster of his tenure, there is now no excuse for him to be at those levels I mentioned above.   We will see in a few months!

Roster is talented for sure. Still having a tough time right now getting excited for IUBB this season. Pretty doubtful we'll do as well as many are thinking is likely, but will be happy if it happens. I'll believe it when I see it. Not much to say until then.

See above!   And I have mentioned several similar posts!   I am an IU fan first and foremost but I am not a MW fan; however, everything we bi**hed about he has started to correct with this roster and if we meet the criteria above, I really think this thread will fade away.  But there are many; including myself, that don’t have the confidence he will be able to do that

Rightfully or wrongfully,  I think tournament success will dictate a lot. In two decades,  we've managed good seeds, conf titles, and while not a BTT title,  it is ultimately pretty low stakes. But our tourney success has been limited to a few S16's. Two decades....20-plus years...and nothing in the tourney. For the first time in 40+ years Purdue has been to a FF more recently than IU.

 

  I think if we we're a 2 seed and crapped out early in the tourney,  Woody defenders would feel vindicated but his detractors would remain unsatisfied.  Otoh, a FF appearance would probably have everyone but the most perpetually disgruntled fans feeling Woody can navigate this new NIL era fairly successfully for a few more years.

That is over half of his loses, not a good thing.  What that tells me is either his game preparation sucks or he just plain gets out coached.  I think it’s a combination of both!
