Sure they can but he will still force dolson to fire. Don't be shocked if he uses the race card. He has proven to be arrogant and vindictive

IDK...I think you're halfway joking here but Carlyle looks like a major whiff on the scouting end. Certainly not as talented as he was made out to be, and that's from eye test alone...and I don't think it's going to take "a snap of the finger" and all of a sudden he's going to be the player he was touted to be. Maybe he can be, but it's going to take dedication and long hours....and unfortunately, we always seem to hear or think a player or multiple players are going to be really good...more often than not, it doesn't turn out to be that way. Maybe  the Bloomington night life plays a roll... see Ballo.

I can guarantee you that it's not happening at Indiana under Mike Woodson. There's no "teaching" or "coaching" or "developing" going on here... just a bunch of overpaid wanna-bees doing their thing without guardrails, direction or consequences... and the Parasite Clown leading the parade down the street.

That's the question, when and if IU makes a move on Woodson...will he go out quietly? Remember, he has self anointed himself "The King of Indiana."

He can make all the noise that he want's to make. His 4-year record more than speaks for itself. He's the king of "self". Period.

I'll go on record today that outwardly it won't be messy.  He will retire; it won't be a firing.  In the end, Buckner will make sure that he exits gracefully at least to the outside world.  Behind the scenes, I suspect we'll never see him in Bloomington again.

GOOD RIDDANCE.

It can't come soon enough!

To be fair to Carlyle and the other players, there seems to be no rhyme or reason to Woodson's substitutions.  We have 8 players averaging over 19 minutes a game.  No one is averaging 30 minutes per game.  Woodson needs to figure out his 5 players that mesh the best and give them the bulk of the minutes. Rice and Ballo should be playing at least 32 minutes per game. We need to develop chemistry amongst a core group.  Trying to get 8 players significant minutes does not help with chemistry.

The "I did my job" comment after a 19 win season irritates me just as much.

That's like me telling my parents I did my job with a C+ average on my report card.

This sort of gaslighting is so pathetic -- everyone can see the W/L record and missing the 68 team tournament by a country mile.

They probably picked IU because we threw the most money at them. In reality, outside of maybe a couple of players, I don't think many of these guys care about Indiana like we do...at least they don't play like it. I would love to be proved wrong about this...but laughing on the bench up 3 against Winthrop doesn't quell this thinking. One can only hope, they prove us wrong.
Money fore sure but also free rein. They don't care. Heck purdue still has mostly kids from Indiana. We have two.

The fact he did not fire one assistant after last season proves he only wants yes men around him.

This is pretty wild to be honest and I think highlights how Woodson runs this like an NBA team, not a college one. Are we positive his staff’s “recruiting pitch” is not simply “come to Indiana, showcase your game on a national stage and get a big payday.” … nothing at all about winning games, I suppose…

Top tier choice of bars.  Was the only bar my wife and I ever went to together.  She hustled me in darts like the episode of Ted Lasso.

Dude needs to make better decisions. If I’m an NBA GM I just took him off any board I have.

Off your board for being at a bar in college before an afternoon game the next day?  Lol

Probably the fact he’s shown to be more of a bar fly than a basketball player who is trying to get better and improving his game.

Dude is getting paid a fortune to be good at basketball and isn’t prioritizing it. The team has rules not to mention the lack of taking his rest seriously.

I usually don’t listen to those things, but that was brutal. That wasn’t part of our “toxic “ fan base. Those were outsiders, at least as far as I know. What a joke.

Exactly, I think they are Michigan fans and have zero skin in the game when it comes to IU basketball but they are being brutally honest and I like it!  We are the laughing stock of CBB
