We were picked dead last or second to last in the conference and made the playoff from a very difficult starting position. We just got one of the top two QBs in the portal and next year’s roster is looking pretty good, though of course the portal isn’t done yet. Rome wasn’t built in a day, we can’t prove everything in one year. There is some serious program building being done on the FB side. And FB is a helluva lot more important than BB, it actually can make a lot of money and help the whole athletic dept. Got to give it some time. go iu bb and Hoosierfan2017 2

Hornsby Posted December 25, 2024 Posted December 25, 2024 And we paid him $4.3/year for his troubles... He's a parasite and we're all idiots.Yep. It's nothing but a ponzi scheme Sent from my SM-A146U using Tapatalk
Hornsby Posted December 25, 2024 Posted December 25, 2024 I think he needs to go, was a bad choice etc I do think, however, that Dolson’s original setup was a horrible idea. You don’t hire a head coach with the caveat that he has to accept a specific assistant coach and a special advisor not hired/chosen by the head coach. It obviously shows that Dolson knew Woodson wasn’t prepared to be a college coach but regardless of the coach that setup was a terrible, terrible idea. It proves they knew he wasn't qualified from the get go. It's a grift setup by quinn but they tried to sell it as a legit hire.Sent from my SM-A146U using Tapatalk TadQueasy 1

I think cig will be a great coach for iu football and I believe the program is in good hands. I also acknowledge how competitive the college football landscape is and the margin for error is small. We need to accept that this season was a dream for iu football and we still didn't actually earn national respect in the end. Let's keep this thread about firing woodson! Just wanted folks to acknowledge basketball is our bread and butter and football may never actually be.Sent from my SM-S926U using Tapatalk

Idk if we’ll make it back to the playoff but I have far more confidence in Coach Cig building a consistent winner then I do in our basketball program ever figuring it out. Maybe so, but we never got to see it actually put into action because of MW and that was the primary reason some of us fans bought into the idea of an old, over-the-hill NBA coach taking on a used to be blue blood college program with zero college experience. We never know if it was either a good or bad idea because MW nixed it pretty much once he took over. I for one thought it could possibly work if MW was open to learning from them, but we all know that MW isn’t an opened minded guy. What I think was the worst idea of them and is why this entire clown show didn’t work out and the Matta/Fife idea didn’t work was because it was setup that MW never reported to Dolson. Now that was something that was put in place that was never going to work and it didn’t. tkbbn 1

If we expect to compete with OSU and UM we will need an extra $20M in NIL each year vs what they have. Same for basketball and Woodson.

I’m sure he was expecting to walk into a different situation with our program and nobody wants to have to adjust plans on the fly. He’s had bad luck between the staff here and G League shuttering Ignite last year. He will be fun to watch in a better situation and SEC style of play. Maybe Coach Beard at IU?
IUFAN1976 Posted December 25, 2024 Posted December 25, 2024 I seen the post above and was wondering what was going on so I went back several pages and seen JerryYeagley’s post about Bryson Tucker. It’s a shame that our program has be on this but it doesn’t surprise me. I am actually more surprised that Reneau and Mgbako came back. They must not really want to get to the next level if they stayed here and like getting no coaching and discipline and they probably can do anything they want outside of the program too. This is a bad look and another nail in the coffin of MW

Feel free to insert your own details because saying anything more would make this a blatant conversation posted word for word and get me in trouble - but Bryson Tucker is effectively using the rest of the season as a showcase for an SEC team with NIL and a better coach who can get him ready for the league. He’s had it with this program and the staff. Sad, because promising five stars aren’t lining up to play for us at the moment to begin with. But fleeing after one year isn’t a good look. This one!
