Not defending any of them, only telling people how they work.

Well even I know you aren’t defending MW but it does come across like you are defending SD.  Honestly though, SD has definitely built up some credibility with everyone from the fans to the Administration when he hire coach Cig because of the season he’s had

So now you're becoming pedantic and pointing out every misspelling and grammatical error? I think you're taking this self given quest to inform the ignorant masses a bit too seriously.

There’s a dash between “self” and “given”, though that really isn’t a term that would be used in common speech (“self-appointed” works better there). University employment has its privileges.

Elementary school spelling words.

It’s rude. You can’t get anyone to agree with you so you deflect and question a person’s acumen. I’ve fired many a professor for doing this when they would argue this way instead of taking care of their department.  You’re losing the big picture and just simply refusing to see it.

Not defending SD, either, though I think he’s done pretty well so far.

One issue with firing Woodson mid-season is, what happens if they go on a hot run and we end up in a position of having to consider the interim coach? Screw that. We shouldn’t fire him until we are confident in who we want to replace him. Unfortunately, that could mean this season sucks @$$, but I do what another poster does and tape the game so I can fast forward. Makes things easier.

The fact that you’re focusing so intently on this one post says everything about you. “Deflection”, heal thyself.

One doesn't appoint a quest but one may give one. So "self-appointed" does not work better here.

Your posts are becoming quite boring and heading toward boorish.

The challenge with that is having the confidence in locking down the replacement. We thought Stevens would say “yes” when he had already made it clear he wasn’t interested. That created embarrassment and some internal blaming, all of which compromised the search for Miller’s replacement.

That’s merely a reflection of their own competence.

I listed one example I knew for a fact. Lickliter at Butler and basketball. Jurich at Lville was purported to have final say during his tenure. Either way, there are other examples of schools empowering talented people. Obviously the job involves schmoozing donors and placating alumni to some extent, but it’s simply not a fact that having a bunch of voices in the room for decision making time is the only way. It’s just how Indiana operates.

Just to be clear I'm not saying it's the only way or the best way. Just that it is a way.

Lmao. Today has been much more entertaining in here than the basketball Woodson produces.

I’ve communicated in private with some of the Twitter Army Burners and even many of them now see the light but have been given the agenda of supporting Woodson and trying to make #IUBB less toxic.

You know what makes IUBB less topic? Good basketball. Plain and simple. All else becomes irrelevant. Always been that way. Get Blue Blood results you won’t need Twitter Bot armies to defend a stinky product.

We might want to start letting Kathy appear to convince us. Don’t want Woody picking a fight with an intern that would be even more embarrassing than an assistant coach

I dunno, might be fun. Maybe Woodson will ask her to move some lockers around. :D
