as far as the ads go nothing we can do to turn them off, you will just need to install an ad blocker on your phone. I use AdGuard it’s free and works.

I see you came over from HSN. Cig has the enthusiasm and passion of a young man but Woodson has an enthusiasm of a corpse. It isn't the age but his production  on the court and his lack of emotion.

I want Woodson gone but for the people who don't know why he wouldn't just move on it how he is stealing money. My question would you quit your job making huge money even if your bosses had no plans to fire you.

My response was to a comment comparing Woodson to a young Coach K and Roy Williams or something ridiculous.

 

If ‘considering our coach is 66’ is a crime against humanity I’m a criminal. I hope our decision makers take ALL factors into play when considering such things. The facts are, in the best case scenario Woody has 6 or 7 years. He doesn’t even want to go that long.

 

My point is age is always a factor but it’s less of a factor if things were going great. You’d let him ride out his contract or whatever. We are now in a rebuild mode fully. Then, likely another rebuild because all our players come from the portal. If our guy has a limited amount of time left, it’s counterintuitive to invest time in allowing that guy to learn on the job to then retire. ROI. Give that opportunity to a coach that can go a longer haul.

 

On that note. 4 year max contracts going forward until we find our guy.

Dude, he makes around $500k/year. If he quits, do you think he's getting another job paying that amount? I doubt anyone wants him as their AD.

Also, Cig is likely a bridge candidate like Woodson was intended. Hopefully he can win enough early on to change the perception of Indiana for the next guy in 6 years or whatever.

Program momentum coupled with age of the Coach aren’t independent variables. If Cig has 2 decent years then the bottom falls out, I’d recommend moving on then as well.

Are there any known volunteer coaches available?

Tony Hinkle was the closest thing to a volunteer coach, ever.  I think he even did the janitorial work besides coaching basketball, baseball, and football.

I’ve got dentistry to do, but I think I could get these guys to play more fundamental ball then the army of coaches we have guiding the way.

Missing out on Queen sucks…no guarantee Liam stays the course.

A lot of questions about what core guys will be back. Woodson made comments about trying to help Trey keep his head (or something along those lines) having to play PG - on top of the rumors he’s being courted, and Reneau is visibly frustrated. Ware is a first round projection…Cupps will likely come back. The rest who knows, but it pains me to say that I’m not sure it matters. I’d love to see what Newton can do, but even he’s a wild card.

This staff of assistants was supposed to be made up of elite recruiters. Where did that assessment go wrong? Doesn’t give me a lot of confidence they can pilfer the portal to the degree that will be needed.

Only thing that gives me any hope about this spring is that Woodson has gotten most of his best players in the spring. Reneau, Ware, MM and Bates which at the time looked like a good get.
