Woody gonna try to back up the brinks truck for Ware isn’t he?  lol.

IF he does that, he won't have any money left for the rest of the spots on the team. He's handing cash out like Oprah at Christmas.

Minimum of 6, likely 7 open spots to fill. The staff got one good one last year. Yeah, what could possibly go wrong.

With at least 2 of them, maybe 3 of them needing to be starters

Yep if he somehow got ware to stay it would cost him 3 million is my guess

Indiana State's Ryan Conwell (likely portal once Schertz officially goes to Saint Louis), Oklahoma State's Javon Small and Stanford's Canaan Carlyle (from Atlanta so Yasir Rosemond knows him) will be priority targets. I think the first two on that list would be outstanding upgrades in the backcourt and would actually pair very nicely with each other as dual combo guards. Carlyle is talented but is a bit more of a potential player as opposed to a proven one. Still, I would not complain any of the three.

This would work but there is just little room for error.

Haha. Figuring out IF or HOW they fit together will be another train wreck.

Frankly, this whole approach Is just wrong. The fact that Woodson is here is wrong, and throwing $6M out the window to see who comes running is also just wrong. In fact, the whole thing sickens me.

But, yeah, Mike, you do you. What a self-absorbed pr!ck.

I agree that it’s all wrong. I can say that I’m a little bit envious of Purdue and can’t stand saying this.  What is their NIL cap?

Rabby is saying that should be it for the portal for Indiana.

Ware & Mgbako will declare but at least Mgbako should be back.

Reneau and Cupps coming back unless something drastically changes

Whew, getting 54% of the team out of the portal is much more doable than 62%.  I was worried there for a minute.

Dayton and a few other Ohio schools are not paying a backup PG what we are

If Woodson does land a top tier PG, Cupps will probably be benched. Of course if Woodson strikes out, the Cupps is "the man". Let's see how this plays out.

It begs the question: is he a competitor who wants to play, or does he want to cash a check?

Plus, Galloway and Leal are coming back which will scare off good guards. If Cupps returns, we have no chance of landing a guard.

We will just have run it back. Good news we might not be able to field a team that has enough players to be able to scrimmage in practice. Here is the good news part of it “Woody won’t have enough players to do his NBA/Hockey sub patterns.

I certainly did not write that I expected Woodson and IU to land the priority target...ha. Just that Small would be a target for the staff to likely whiff on. MSU has to replace Tyson Walker so I'm sure that will be an appealing landing spot.

IU has a lot working against them but they’ve got money. I was told that would be important so it should work out great
