That’s good to know that you are waiting until March but others probably don’t have to wait that long to come to a conclusion on the team or the coach.

I am from Missouri -- show me.  That's where I am at.  Neither up, nor down.  Guy has a top 5 roster -- money wise.  Top 10 roster -- talent wise.  No more humps.  Time to put up or shut up.  Time to win those championships we have been promised.

That's not true.  The other night he admitted he learned a lesson that he needed capable guards to play well.  So he went out and got some.    Baby steps.

Can’t speak for everyone but in my case I personally didn’t have to wait to see if he could coach talent.  I want and have always wanted a college basketball lifer to be the head coach of the team I’m most invested in.  He wasn’t that but he was the head coach of the team I’m most invested in so I had an open mind on giving a coach that had 0 college head coaching experience when he was giving the job a chance.   Over the last 3 years nothing was done by him or the coaching staff that changed my initial stance.   Little stuff added up that snowballed into bigger stuff that just reinforced my opinion of the situation.   Just my opinion but IU will never win big with him as the head coach just like they were never going to win big with Miller(who I thought would be great).  I don’t need until march to know he isn’t the guy for IUs future.   As far as this team they have a chance to compete for a B1G regular season or even a B1G tourney title however I don’t see them as a legit National Title contender.  B1G as a whole is so far behind the title contender programs.   Again just my opinion but IU will not be a major ncaa title threat contender until they move on from the current coach

You watch a guy pour concrete for your neighbor's driveways.  He has some hires that do things a little off and he gets the job done but the driveways are uneven and have cracks.  He hires a new crew put together from other reputable concrete crews and says that now he has the crew he wants to do things his way.  You watch them the first few days and notice the same mistakes being made by this new crew that were made by the others.  Do you pull the plug based on your neighbors driveways in the belief that, "Hey, there is one common denominator here..." or do you wait until he is 3/4 of the way done with you driveway before speaking up?

Win or lose this year, he's not the guy for the future.

And if I was to make a very educated guess? Given our lack of incoming freshmen and the very minimal buyout, this is his last year.

If only there was a way for a head coach of one of the most storied programs with great facilities, great exposure, and great fans to somehow interact with the  blue chip high school talent, esp those within the state that grew up in IU families, and convince them to attend his university.

Agreed. And the fact that IU is/has been near the bottom in the B1G in all the modern era categories during his tenure is quite disturbing

That's all you've heard for the last few months, really?  I could swear you have spent the entirety of the last off season b#tching about people in this Fire Coach Woodson thread wanting CMW fired and suggesting that he would show us and have us untrue fans eating crow with his mercenaries  dominating the B1G.  Now you are blaming the merenaries you praised  for lack luster wins against the Sisters of the Poor.

I haven't watched a minute of any of the games so far this year.. Don't have the '+' version of the streaming services, and have the UNCG game recorded, but haven't watched yet... so I'm not going to comment on a game that I haven't seen. I can look at the final score and the box score and draw a reasonable conclusion... with respect to Goode, all I heard during the portal recruiting season was how great a shooter he is... but so far this season's stats don't bear that out...

Yeah, as a fan for almost 60 years, I do have an agenda: Get IU to hire a basketball coach that has a freaking clue how to coach. Renting a group of mercenaries is not a plan. It's an effort by Woodson's billionaire buddies to try to hide his abysmal coaching ability.
