Fire Mike Woodson indeed!!!

Why are you confused over 2017? He has admitted that he won’t watch the games.

In regards to this statement… Is that your sentiment in regards to OSU football. You know, the program that spent $20 million on their players?

You willing to make that statement on the football thread? That they should win by big margins on Saturday because they spent the money?

I mean, Ohio state should win the game Saturday. They spent many multiples what IU spent. They’re loaded up with 4 and 5 star players while IU has a bunch of 0, 1, 2 star players.

But none of that matters when you step onto the football field. How many stars you had next to your name in high school doesn’t matter. How much money a booster was willing to pay you doesn’t matter.  Coaching matters. Effort matters. Desire matters. Those are the things that matter once the game starts. It’s why IU football is 10-0 and kicking the crap out of everyone while IU basketball has been, well, underwhelming the past 3+ years.

The comments I referenced suggested that the results on the floor/field correlated to the money spent on the talent. Essentially, that we bought a team and our results should correspond to the money spent.

The reference had nothing to do with coaching , effort or desire.

I have made that comment to people more relevant than you, I don’t have to make it in any football thread.  The only confusing person on this thread is you!

The football team takes on the personality of Cignetti…we may not have 5 stars but they play hard and sound.
Our basketball team has incredible talent but takes on the personality of Sleepy Mike

Sure bud.

Don’t follow the team but be that guy on a message board who criticizes incessantly.

Dumb is being uninformed. Being informed means paying attention.

Sorry if this is beyond your level of comprehension

If it bothers you so much, just put him on ignore. Simple solution. Yet you'd rather come on here and complain time and time again that someone isn't being a fan in the way you think people should be fans.

Once again, thanks for your post padding contribution to this thread you hate so much.

If I am not relevant, which I don’t care about, why do you feel the need to respond.?

I’m not confused in the least.

Thanks for replying to my post and verifying that I am relevant to the discussion

The results should correspond to the money spent. If they don’t then you’re wasting your money.

If IU’s results don’t match the spending, it’s either that the players weren’t worth the money or the coach can’t coach the players.

Remember when ‘ol’ Kathy with a C (or something like that) was doggin on our favorite AD (come on, after getting football right and getting $ to keep home from evil SEC land we can all admit Dolson is our fav) and suggesting he was not capable of making a hiring decision on his own. Well, methinks my classmate at IU has a bit more cache than even the mighty Quinn does these days.
So, if ‘ol’ Woody doesn’t turn in a mighty fine season this year AND have a believable roster in place for next, mr Dolson gonna be able to do what he wants.

And, maybe it’s too soon to make a determination whether it was money well spent or not.

That’s my whole point. Four games into the season and folks are ready to blow the season up.

Let it play out and then we’ll have a reason to criticize or not.

Cig took 31 or so transfers, plus a bunch of other players, and molded them in a few months to the first 10-0 football team in IU history.  In freaking 1 year.  He's got them clicking like a well-oiled machine.  No "we got to learn to play together."  No "gotta get over the hump."  Yeah, coaching matters.  A LOT.

Woodson has all the talent money can buy.  Next week we get a real glimpse of what we are headed for.

Question is, you hoping that the glimpse is legit team, or are you hoping that they tank to support the FMW posse?

We saw it with Archie... with Davis and with others... the team plays up/down to the level of the competition. If Cig's boys played that way, they might have beaten Western Illinois 14-3.

This is typical of a poorly coached team, and Indiana has that in spades.

Funny that this thread was stagnant until now. Have a middling game and the pitchfork folks come out en masse

Naw, the pitchforks have been out for sharpening ... time to fire the bum ...

Would you rather be undefeated IU or 1 loss PUke?

Sadly, at this point, 1 loss PU - every time! Faith in coaching, maximizes talent, gets team to peak at the right time. Been to Championship game w/in past year.  Doesn’t have to schedule cupcake city pre-B1G in order to try to have enough wins to squeak into the tourney. The colors really suck, and the mascot is really f’in freaky…but, it’s a no brainer for most of us!

I'd rather have a coach who knew what the #*(@^$ he was supposed to be doing. Being undefeated against cupcake schedule Woodson has assembled is not much of an accomplishment.

Glad to see you posting here.

You didn’t comment in the S Carolina thread other than to criticize Goode.

Understand that it’s easier to criticize someone than to support. Especially when you have your boys to have your back.

We’ve had 3+ years of Mike Woodson. We know what we’re getting. Even if the players are as good as advertised the team’s ceiling is capped because of the man driving the bus.
