I know lol.

I found it funny that we were told a one point win was better than a one point loss with a whole paragraph.  I tried to show the absurdity of it with sarcasm but your sarcasm meter didn't pick up on it.

I know you were being sarcastic, just find it incredibly ironic that your combating someone telling you with a 'whole paragraph' that a one point win is better than a one point loss by making three or so replies with sarcasm and then throwing in the 'extensions for everyone' jab meant you were spending more time replying to the post than anyone spent writing one.

I've given up on CJ

The camera fixed on him for a bit after he missed a corner 3 last night. He honestly looked so dejected. He looked over at the bench, seeming to know he was coming out, which he did. Looked like Woodson didn't say anything to him as he came off, with his head down. Can't help but think his confidence is at or near an all time low.

Yeah his body language was not good. I wondered if that is why he didn't see any minutes in the 2nd half.

I have decided to just act as if last night did not happen. 8-3!!!!

This team clearly has a problem playing to the level of it's competition.

Also it seems as if Woody is not taking these games seriously. You can sub guys without doing the all bench lineup, Sparks should not be playing any minutes at all.

Banks and CJ.....get it together please and Woody help them out by not making them play with the whole bench.

Also there was a time in the second half last night where we had Banks in at the 2 guard...what the hell was that lol?

Body language in 2H was assessed correctly by NashvilleHoosier - dejected maybe even 'salty'.  Gunn and Banks need Santa to raise their spirits before the New Year. They are two + athletes and I want to root for them.

IU in Indy:  NCAA says 'home game'

Purdue in Indy:  NCAA says 'neutral court'

Because one was put on by the schools and the other was put on by a third party.   IU can appeal and I’m guessing they will before the end of the year

I sent one reply.  Where are you seeing "three or so"?  What in the world

Some thoughts on Mgbako:

Being “unathletic” is an understatement, but seems to just be part of his game. His slow, sliding drives are actually getting him to the line and getting him some looks as defenders are off balance waiting for explosive moves. Reminds me of Slo Mo Kyle Anderson.
I know he had a poor shooting night but he is by far who I feel most comfortable shooting jumpers/threes. If he goes 2/5 on those open threes last night puts him at 19pts. I think 0fer nights will go away and maybe we start trying to get him going early? He has been much more engaged defensively and the plus minus on him is good the last several games. We need perimeter offense in the worst way possible.
I HATE that he is so stiff his arms even look weird at rest. Like he can’t even relax them to hang at his sides. So weird every time there is a stoppage in play he looks like he is shrugging lol.

Reflecting on Walker's performance last night,...... he deserves more minutes, plain and simple. Based performance last night was a testimony of what he can do and I think "willing" to do if he's given more opportunities. Any player sitting on the bench for extended minutes game after game has to be evaluating what he can do to help this team. I think Walker has really stepped up and put that evaluation to fruition. Now we need more of this from others.....JMO

That really has nothing to do with my reply.  I was replying to the fact that someone said five star players they think of great athletes.

Jerry Meyer 247 description of Lander out of high school.  The point I was making was that someone said when they think of a five star player that those players are great athletes.  That was a description that was given to Lander.:

Average size for a point guard. Left handed. Both a smooth and explosive athlete. Has a tremendous burst to the rim off the dribble. Creative ball handler and finisher. Good passer as well. Streaky outside shooter at this point. Rebounds his position. Has potential to be high quality defender.

Right.  But there was nothing about the kid that showed he was "explosive."  I suppose if you check out a few highlights someone can be "tricked" into thinking that.  That was my point.

We are 6 deep right now without X. I am unfortunately with Chris about Gunn and Banks. I know Gunn is trying to be a “scorer” but part of me wonders if it is time to tell him to just be a defensive nightmare and only utilize him as a stopper on guys like Lathan last night. Wide open threes are fine but the misses he is taking are killing us when he comes in. Only runouts off of steals please.

When Banks/Gunn and Cupps are in together we are effectively 3 on 5 on the offensive end right now. Don’t get started on when Woody also uses Sparks in that lineup.
