Pepsi > Coke.

Is there is pop that sells more than Mountain Dew? I'd assume it's only Coca-cola or Pepsi or Diet Coke. Mountain would murder at games.

My brother says Mountain Dew is the biggest seller by a longshot but I don't know that for sure. He could be making that up.

Off topic, but you guys need to drink water, not chemicals + sugar.

Or beer, or gin, or bourbon, or tequila.

Or coffee. NO! Not that coffee; really good coffee.

Now don’t bark back until you have adjusted.

;)

My wife and doctor told me more vodka and less beer

That's what makes not listening even worse. They won't listen to offers from companies that produce a superior product to the companies they currently have deals with.

Seriously, though, if the companies know that IU feels this way then there is no way they're giving IU the best deal possible. That would be bad business on their part.

I can for sure say the Coke deal is done. My brother has negotiated with IU for Pepsi the last two times. Pepsi offered more money over 4 years but Coke offered more money upfront. They went with Coke both times. This last time they told Pepsi they were staying with Coke before even hearing Pepsi's offer. Then after hearing it, still said they were staying with Coke. Said they were going to do the same with Adidas.

Or is it brilliant business?

I often tell potential vendors that I have a great deal from their competition that I'm planning on taking.  Then you see really sweetheart deals get dropped on you.

My understanding is both the Adidas and Coke contracts will be negotiated soon, including looking at other vendors.  I suspect a full RFP for both.  Similar to what happened with the book store recently and the move from Barnes & Noble to Follet.

Praying this happens at least RFP it out!

IU - where we supposedly have a top10 business school yet don’t understand the definition of what a short term gain for a long term loss means. SMH….

why would they stick with Adidas?

Yes, but you have to then take the sweetheart deal, which I’m not sure we’d do lmao.

I see the Curt Cignetti thread has just become another Bash IU thread.

Lol - sorry for bringing the negativity. But I feel it is important dialogue for setting expectations. “How you do anything is how you do everything”…

I absolutely love the Cignetti hire btw, love the Woodson hire too.

Fun fact--- never once drank a pop (soda, Mtn Dew, Sprite) in my life. The talk of Coke vs. Pepsi... absolutely do not care.

Really?? What do you drink for beverages? What is your just sitting around beverage? I don't drink them much anymore but killed them as a kid. My 17 year old has never had a coke but has the occasional sprite
