My new favorite line from Coach Cignetti......"Our job isn't to please them, their job is to please us."

This soooo true with any college sport, especially now with NIL.

My new favorite, as well. This model was never going to work if "pleasing the players" is the goal.

I also think this is the second comment he has made regarding DMac.

Last week he singled McCulley out and said he needed to pick it up when discussing the WR room. This week he said there are a few guys that Indiana fans think are players, who came out with the old Indiana mindset. Obviously he could have been talking about someone else, but my first thought was McCulley.

I really like McCulley, but he needs to embrace the change. He has too much talent to waste it by not putting in the work. Just from hearing coach's comments, it's shocking how far the program had sunk. Wouldn't be surprised to see a few more "old" Indiana guys hit the portal.

I think you're reading too much into it.

I'm sure he fully expects that to happen. I'm also certain he and his staff will be hitting the portal as well. They need to fill some spots on the defensive side of the ball. Losing Blidi comes to mind.

How so...?

He is the only player that has been singled out in a not so positive manner. Of course he is trying to push him to be better, but he hasn't done so with anybody else.

Coach Cog really is as polar opposite from the last staff as you could be. Exactly what the program needed. Idk if it’ll work out because it’s still IUFB at the end of the day, but if it doesn’t work it won’t be from lack of effort.

It's going to "work."  IU football will be much better.  National champions?  That's tough because of the meat grinder conference.  But a lot better than the bottom feeder we have been.

I saw some social media heartburn, butthurt, whatever you want to call it from a certain part of the fanbase regarding CCCs "old Indiana" comments. SMH, do you want to win or are consolation prizes and everyone gets a trophy enough for you? Seriously lets win some d@mn football and basketball games!!!
