Indiana vs. Louisville- Mon. 11/20 @ 4:30 pm on ESPNU (Empire Classic)

Happy it's not Texas but this will not be a cake walk either. This game is the one I view as the real early season barometer for where we are as a team. I feel like we lack intensity right now. Louisville will probably be tired/emotionally flat after a game like that.

Louisville has as much, if not more, talent on their roster than we do. Yet they've been awful the last two years and took a ranked Texas team right to the wire yesterday. How we come out after being drummed by 20 will tell us a lot about the locker room. Schematically, we probably see more of the same, but is Payne actually good enough with X's and O's to exploit our weaknesses? Woody is definitely the better coach IMO but this team is just tough to watch right now. I do think come January it could be a different story but we'll see... CJ seems to be finding his feet a bit which would be huge

Oh.  H. J.

Thanks for the onsite observations from MSG last evening.

But I was so pumped and looking through rose-colored glasses that I put IU over UConn at the last minute.

Stoopid me.

I can't help but hope IU does better.  But without a stable of stable guards, IU is playing uphill all year.

And I just wonder about Coach Woodson.  This is his team.  And right now, it looks dysfunctional.  They are not getting any separation against lesser teams.  And they are too easy to defend.

I feel the exact same way Dave. Sad, because I want to be excited about this team. Just one 20+ win would be great! Right now that looks like something we may not see this year though.

I'll be in the building today, as I'm sure a lot of other Hoosier fans will be! I haven't seen that much red outside of Assembly Hall in a long time.

Looking for a rebound game here. I’d say L’villes confidence is probably sky high after yesterday and will come out pumped. Hope our guys do to.

Agree that L'ville's confidence level took a huge jump yesterday and ours took a deep dive.  Sadly, I don't think Woody can put that whack job behind them in 24 hrs.

IMO, this game will hinge on X and Trey. They have got to figure things out both defensively and offensively. Stop helping off of shooters, you have  7' and 6'9" post players that have shown the ability to block or alter shots, they do not need help! I know the idea is to get steals or turnovers to create fast breaks, but until our back court can prove to stay on shooters, there should be no digging! Go Hoosiers, please get it figured out!
