Agreed!

That push off was less obvious at full speed and more often than not doesn’t get called in crunch time imo.

And that is exactly the issue.

In terms of your comment that refs miss calls, that's obviously true.  Buie's travel earlier in the game is one thing.  Missed calls might make me upset, but on those there is obviously no intent by a ref -- they simply didn't see it.  Our staff getting two techs on that is something we can't allow to happen because all it does is compound the issue.

BUT the call at the end of the game wasn't a missed called IMO -- it was a foul that was seen and intentionally not called.  While I disagree that it was less obvious at full speed (unless Galloway can somehow magically fly five feet back), when you acknowledge that it wouldn't get called at crunch time you are agreeing that it wasn't a missed call -- it was a call that they chose not to make even though they knew what the right call was.

Weak.   Didn’t have control of?   Sorry but during the first timeout you grab the pa mike and tell them to stop.

Back in the day, RMK -- and other coaches -- did that. But that doesn't seem to happen any longer.

Not sure if a coach or the home team has a responsibility to try to put a stop to that kind of stuff or not.

A few years back, we we dropping f-bombs at Haarms after play got a little chippy against the PUs. We did nothing about till the next day, when Glass issued a statement condemning the chant. After the game, Archie said he didn't hear it, which I'm not sure I believe -- there's no way you couldn't hear it.

BTW, my favorite such incident: In the 80s, Oklahoma fans got out of control after some perceived bad calls. They were throwing things onto the court. Billy Tubbs grabs the mike and says, "Do not throw things on the court -- no matter how terrible the officiating is." ... BOOM! -- a T for Tubbs.

Well, even after a full night of sleep that sucked…and it’s cloudy and raining to make it worse.

But, gotta move on boys. Short term memory, grab two more wins in conference and get ready for a deep run in the tourney.

Although that JHS lob may be a little harder to forget. That thing was bad ha-ha.

I’ve been a referee (at a lower level).

There are many times when a ref is close to blowing a whistle, but at the last split-second internally thinks to his or her self “not quite”.

This, to me, seems to be one of those times.

I don't think coaches are allowed to do that anymore.  It has to come from the public announcer.  The crowd could also be charged a technical foul if it continues after a warning.

So the defender should foul the bejeezus out of a guy and it should be let go.  The move on that going forward is a massive reach in or slap at the 3 point line.  (I got $ that says that would be called though...just like if Galloway recovered and continued to lunge through Buie after the initial push off.)

No one should be allowed to “foul the bejeezus out of” someone. In my opinion, after that play, Galloway still has plenty of bejeezus left in him!

Likke I said, there are a ton of calls during a game that one fan base or the other is not going to like. Sure, this was one of them. But wallowing in it is counterproductive and makes my next morning coffee and Cheerios less sweet and delicious.

I have a hard time believing that push off was just missed.  He lowered his shoulder before extending his arm and pushing Galloway a few feet backwards; that is one that should get called.

The foul being missed or not called hurt. What hurt worse was trey being pushed into TJD who then couldn’t jump to block or alter the shot.

Still wish we would have doubled there or brought help/pressure, forced him to make a decision or for them to hit a kick and contested shot. Once I saw him get down hill one on one I knew we were in trouble. Can’t let him get that deep.

Look it was a crap no call.  Both things can be true — play like horse chit and bad officiating.

The Big10 is borderline effecting the integrity of the game with crap officiating.  You don’t want to call and obvious foul at the end of the game?  Fine.  Then call the obvious ones underneath during the game.  It’s pure crap at this point.

Just different views that’s all.    I accept that fact that teams are going to lose especially on the road.  I accept that teams are not going to give full effort and concentration night in and night out.   I accept teams are just going to lose without coming up with an explanation.   You view it differently.

Absolutely, give credit to NW for taking away our one consistent offensive weapon with a quick double. We responded by tossing it all over the gym, taking bad shots, forgetting we actually had to rebound, and giving up some really good looks or allowing them to get to the rim.

Crazy stat - NW had 19 rebounds at the half and only 6 in the second. The players and coaches getting all those turds out at halftime (some call them halftime adjustments) seemed to payoff as we FINALLY got TJD moving in the second half. It's almost like this is the first time we've faced this all season.

I for one am tired and worn out of the Kopp experiment. It’s been C - -.

Had big moment opportunities to have huge impact in last night’s game…… No results.

Kopp is fine as long as he can defend a shooter. When they got the switch for Kopp on Buie we should have just given them two points and taken ball out to save time. I guess it was good that we only gave up twos and not threes late in the second half with that switch. It was an issue last season and has been an issue against most halfway athletic wings he's attempted to guard. He does spread the floor a bit and we don't have any other great options. Such is life with a flawed team.

I'll just agree to disagree on that call.  IMO, that was a textbook push off.  Did he push off?  Yes.  Did he gain an advantage?  Most definitely.  If that's not an offensive foul, I'm not sure what is.

They know they have a problem.  That’s why they hired Terry Wymer to oversee B1G officiating.   Don’t think it’s going to get fixed in year 1.    Long way to go to get it to look like the other leagues.     Don’t know if it will make a difference in the long run but for them to hire him is the first step in acknowledging a problem exists.

I agree I think they are trying but my problem with it is, how is it going to change when you keep sending the same officials out there each game? They have to identify which officials like Scirotto keep giving them problems and eliminate them. I always thought Wymer was a good official so hopefully, he can turn this around. But the people who don't think the officiating is hurting the conference couldn't be more wrong.

So basically just get screwed and take it.
