You control what you can control (or not in our case in the first half)

We rolled over, again, in the first half. We did it in the first matchup with NW and several other road games. Luckily for us we were just more talented than the other teams.

Yep can’t control officials. But can control trying. If you aren’t going to try to win something why whine that somebody took it from you

Bull ******* ****.  Reffing sure as hell isn't about judging 'who tried harder'.  Obvious fouls are obvious fouls.  Incompetence is incompetence.  Maybe the Big Ten product is something you think is quality, but I guess my standards are just higher.

Of course it’s not quality. But we can’t control that. Our team controls how much effort they put in

At the 30 second mark, IU can't control the first 39 1/2 minutes.

You know who CAN control the officiating?  Kevin Warren.  Good riddance.

I thought the refs were bad. Really bad. We also did ourselves no favors digging that big of a hole. Both can be true. Very poor effort in the first half, regardless of calls made. We can’t control the refs, we can control the effort. I hope that letdown doesn’t linger. Need to move the focus to Illinois real quick.

Much easier to ***** and complain about something out of the control of your team than the things your team can actually control. Like addressing the elephant in the room of all the e's, i's, c's, and such.

We should probably get back to dogging other team's fans for blaming the refs, trying to find mystery reasons for techs or getting jobbed by techs and the like.

He doesn’t control the officiating.  Your a great example of somebody who wants to win. But doesn’t want to prepare to win.

We had opportunities.

That supposed ally oop to TJD from JHS was a freaking nightmare!

WTH!

That was nothing short of ridiculous.

That was brutal. Not even sure what you can say about it. I’d go with freshman nerves but he scored a big bucket next possession.

Trey can control getting in front of Boie.  And he did.

So why care about what you CAN control when in the end it doesn't matter?

Still, that’s gives them 2 free throws yes. But why didn’t they 2 get more for the Class B (bench tech) and then a 1-1 where they made both. That’s a 3 point swing. I get the sarcasm but damn that doesn’t sit well with me

It wasn't sarcasm and the contact by Woody then changed the call (by that definition you provided) to cost IU a team foul. So the index finger of Mike Woodson was the deciding factor tonight. Again not sarcasm when it's the truth.

Because they didn’t control what they could control.  They laid down for a half.

If I show up for my job 4 hours late tomorrow no matter how hard I work my boss is going to have a conversation with me. That’s reality

So then why the hell do we spend our time and money on this corrupt BS?

No other league has this bad of an officiating problem.

It’s long past time for reform.  If IU were serious about basketball they would be making a USC type move somewhere else.  The fact is IU is ok with the corruption as long as they get their cut of the money.
