That, combined with the fact that Hood-Schifino is exactly the player Mustaf sees himself as, though not sure that’s actually correct, makes for a very straightforward pitch. lillurk, ALASKA HOOSIER and southsidehoosier 3 Quote

How would you say Mustaf's game compares/contrasts with JHS? Quote

I’m not doing anything, so will probably ramble on for a minute. Physically, they’re very similar. 6’6”, plus length, big frames. Mustaf’s a little more explosive and a little better laterally. So, defensively, they’re the same kid. Tough, physical, good feet, switchable 1-3 no problem. But offensively, at least now, Fino’s just got more game. He can legit score at 3 levels. He has the vision you want in a facilitator and he understands controlling pace of play and finding matchups. Mustaf’s not there. His game is about getting downhill all the way to the rim and finishing. He’s really physical, he draws a ton of contact and he’ll shoot a lot of free throws. He can make open 3’s, but he has to have space. His release is low and out front and he can’t get it off against a decent contest. That really limits him in the mid-range. They ran that Zoom action last year and Fino would take the DHO and he could take the elbow J, he could get in the lane and shoot a floater, he could take it to the rim or he could find the roll man. Mustaf can’t get that elbow J off and I’ve never seen him shoot any kind of floater. If he can’t get downhill there’s nothing there for him. And he’s still new to playing the point. He’s shown solid vision, bot nothing unusual. He makes the play that’s there. And he does make it. He takes care of the ball. He plays under control. If it sounds like I’m being critical, no, he’s a good player and I’d take him all day. He just looks to me like a secondary facilitator and he’d be a snug fit next to a kid like Cupps who can be the primary but can also make jump shots. A 3 guard lineup in ‘24 of Cupps, Newton and Mustaf would work very well. Class of '66 Old Fart, BtownStrength, taco corp and 5 others 6 2 Quote

He constantly gushes about IU with knowledge, Kenya has ties to his AAU program, and his dad and Woody might have an NBA relationship. Love that his family moved away from Maryland - they were thought to be the primary competition when his family lived there. Hoosierfanyuh and cybergates 2 Quote
