Same school as Jalen Hood-Schifino. Really really good basketball player. Is this a sign of JHS optimism, or simply someone we saw playing with JHS during the live period that we thought highly of?

Watched 2 games of Montverde last year, IMG in January and Sunrise in the Geico final. Like Hood-Schifino, Reneau barely played. The level of talent there is just on another level now. They don’t recruit kids anymore.They issue invitations.

In '19-'20 Reneau attended Mater Academy Charter in Hialeah Gardens, FL and led Mater Academy to a 25-5 overall record, 8-2 in district play, and a 6A Regional Finals berth, averaging 21 points and 11 rebounds.  He transferred to Montverde for this past season and played in 22 games averaging 6.1ppg on 69% shooting and was 67% FT.  He only attempted 10 3s and missed them all.  He averaged 4.1 rpg and 1.0 apg.  This was a loaded Montverde team and he averaged just 10 min/game.

[Class of '66 Old Fart]

Reneau plays AAU for Nighthydras on the EYBL circuit and here's the stats I found for him for last weekend in the Peach Jam qualifying event.  Nighthydras did not qualify for the actual Peach Jam tournament which is currently in progress.

I agree. But it is interesting he included us knowing he’s committing in a month. Could just be because it’s a fresh offer. Although UVA did offer when we did and they were not included. I think its a stretch that we even have a chance especially with banks on board.

I don't think so, but if they were willing to take Brice, they'd love to have Reneau and so would I.  But, My GUESS is no.
