Wyoming's post up usage of their PG/C and their ability to draw fouls combined with IU's 2 foul approach could lead to TJD and/or X being on bench for much of 1st half. I think the worst case scenario is this game has the pace/feel of the Rutgers/Wisconsin games where it is a close game throughout, but IU isn't able to pull away and folds late. I'm hoping IU is able to use their athletic advantage to get out in transition for some easy points, make three or four 3's each half and /or force double digit turnovers. If their able to do that, I can see IU making it a double digit win. For the most part, Trayce has been excellent at avoiding fouls, and I'm willing to bet Ike is not one of the top 3 best bigs we've faced this season. Fair to worry about X, would love to see Phinisee start and guard Maldanado...of course that's not going to happen because clearly we need Parker's hot shooting hand (20% over last 7 games). thebigweave, Josh and FWHoosier84 2 1 Quote

I imagine we will put multiple guys (X, Rob, Galloway, Geronimo, Race?) on Maldonado and would prefer to start with Race on Ike to avoid two quick fouls from TJD. Quote
Five Prime Posted March 15, 2022 Posted March 15, 2022 Just come with a double if Maldonado takes smaller XJ in the post. Wyoming doesn't appear to be a great shooting team and our rotations are usually excellent. thebigweave 1 Quote
Five Prime Posted March 15, 2022 Posted March 15, 2022 I do think Maldonado will see a decent amount of Galloway though. Quote

If they can avoid fouling, I'd like to see how they do without doubling. Quote

Lots of IU fans in Estero Beach FL. IU is going to be doing it on the hardwood tonight baby! Have fun tonight. My "second" senior year 1987 March Madness was spring break, we were staying at the Lani Kai on Ft Myers Beach. Almost all IU students. We got together at some bowling alley in FT Myers as they had big screens for the Duke game after beating Auburn the Saturday before and we brought in our own coolers and cleaned out the bar's kegs. Had to be 300 of us in that place waving IU flags and screaming as Coach Knight beat Coach K. 35 years ago, wow. Joe_hoopsier, American HoosierX, HoosierAloha and 4 others 6 1 Quote

Lani Kai got hit with a waterspout a couple days ago. Lifted the deck and tossed parties. No injuries that I have heard. Across the street is the bar Hoosiers In Paradise. Will be there Thursday... Today at the Sandbar. In between is WT101 bourbon. And watching stingrays and dolphins and stuff. Especially the latter. American HoosierX, upperarlington, thebigweave and 1 other 4 Quote

Does Florida have better IU bar watch options than Chicago? Chicago is impressively sad for how many IU alums there are here. Quote

Phinisee won't guard Maldanado. Maldanado is 6'7". When Phin is in he'll likely be guarding one of their shooting guards. They are 6'4" and 6'3" thebigweave 1 Quote

Banksyrules Posted March 15, 2022 Posted March 15, 2022 What do you guys think about having a wait and see philosophy with Geronimo? If we’re winning, I don’t think we should play him and save him for the next game. thoughts? thebigweave 1 Quote

When it happened it didnt look great, but if he feels fine hes fine, i think playing him as normal would be justifiable in my opinion Quote
