B10 Tournament (Bracket and general chat + poll)

The dreaded Big Ten Tournament is just around the corner. It is in Indianapolis again this year at Gainbridge Fieldhouse. IU has been awful in this event and is 13-23 overall. Of the teams that have been a part of each tournament, only Northwestern has a worse record. 

I thought I would get this thread started so I had a place to put the big ten tournament bracket predictor. It is below:

As of right now, it is pretty clear IU will be in the 8-9 matchup and most likely as the 9 seed. They are 0-3 against Iowa, Michigan, and Michigan State so will lose any tiebreaker to those teams who are just ahead of them in the standings. 

There is still a battle down the stretch for the top overall seed. Wisconsin is in the driver's seat but Purdue could take it if they win @ wisconsin tomorrow against IU on saturday. 

Here's to winning a game in the Big Ten Tournament as we deserve something good to happen in it for once. Go Hoosiers!

I like to live in the land of beating Rutgers then Purdue Saturday and getting the 7 seed against Maryland into Wisconsin. I'd love another shot at those turds.

That would be nice. I would just like to avoid UM or MSU in the 8/9.

I want to avoid Iowa. Maybe not logical, but for some reason I'm more comfortable about our chances against Michigan or MSU.

They have been playing well lately. Just think UM is a bad matchup with their length and I would rather play a fran coached team in march than an Izzo coached one.

But it probably doesn't matter who IU plays, they are just going to have to take it.

My "realistic" picks on the Tournament Generator (us beating Rutgers, losing to Purdue, who I think will win the rest of the games) gives us Michigan into Purdue. I'm just really not feeling great about that.

With how inconsistent that Michigan has been plus their first game back with Juwan so we don't know how they will play... Not a bad draw

I think Dickinson alone makes them a really, really bad matchup for us. They were on fire in our game, but I'm just not a fan at all of the 1-5 matchups with them even if they aren't shooting lights out.

Their inconsistency also makes them really hard to project for seeding. They could be anywhere from the 5 seed to the 9 I think. And any of the scenarios that get them there are perfectly reasonable for how up and down they are.

Last bracket I saw had us playing Iowa then Wisconsin. I would honestly take that.

IU playing Iowa would require Michigan to go at least 2-1 this week with a win over Iowa.

I agree that I would rather IU play Iowa. But I also don't want UM winning a bunch of games as they are a co-bubble team

Since I dislike Wisconsin, and because their remaining game is against Nebraska, I want to see them get beat by Purdue. 

Since I dislike Purdue, I then want Indiana to beat Purdue and spoil their number one seed.

And, while all this is happening, Illinois beats Penn State and Iowa and knocks Wisconsin off the top perch (as they have the tie-breaker against Wisconsin).

I don't care for Illinois, but I like them much better than Wisconsin. 

Just for clarity, I despise Michigan State more than any other.

Looking like Wisconsin will get the 1 seed unless Nebraska can continue their road magic. 
 

Michigan won as well, which makes it more likely that they will move out of the 8/9 game

With Michigan beating Michigan St, Iowa is definitely in play for the 8 seed.

Absolutely would love another shot at those assholes. However, I feel that it is so far from reality. When watching the PU vs Wisky game last night I’m thinking, PU looks tired to me. There may be a chance after all. That’s when I realized that they are off until they play us Saturday. Wishful thinking, I guess

Didn't see a general thread on the B10 Tournament. If I missed it, please merge. 

Love that we have shot at getting back at Michigan in our first game. Rutgers at a 4 is a bit of a head scratcher from a pure visual standpoint lol.. 

Overall, I think we need to two wins to make our case a clear one. Wish I was back in Indy this week.
