Definitely not seeing what you’re seeing here. It may not be the best conference like it’s been recently but the strength of the conference is the only thing keeping our tourney chances alive.

The conference hasn’t won a title since 2000. We beat up on each other all season and then come tournament time it’s a different game. There’s a few outliers occasionally but no one is scared of the B1G in tournament play.

Let's not start this. I get tired enough of hearing posters talk about how so and so won't be back like it's a sure thing. We don't need to start doing this with recruits as well.

Just an honest ? .  Mods please take her down . Not a good time for this wat is right

My best advice to expecting dads is to workout a ton. Upper body and leg strength will pay dividends the nights the baby won’t sleep.  Also get some podcasts downloaded and blue tooth headphones on standby.

Stop watching and check the scores.  The more you do it, the easier it gets.  Start with the games that mean nothing against the 300 level teams we beat up on.

Having kids helped me too.

My kids always say “IU lost again, didn’t they” the next morning after IU games. They know. My oldest is 15, plays HS ball. He’s been hearing the suck for a while now.

Each (most) season I say, next year we have a chance to be better. I’m not even saying that this year. That probably hurts the most, if anything can more than missing the tournament.

These last 4 losses like in a row has weakened our armor terribly. Can we still win yes but going into this last battle down the stretch is going to be tougher now. Good luck Hoosiers we need a lot to go our way!

Right now the only hope Woodson had imo is to clean house.  Hope JHS is more than ready to contribute as a freshmen and get bench players from winning teams to transfer here.

With the number of players pretty much guaranteed to leave (Trayce, Race (hope he's back, not sure he will be), X, Kopp, Durr, supposedly Stewart will be graduating and think he'll get away from basketball altogether) and the players that could transfer (Lander and Duncomb.....wait and see on them), we're going to have to either hit the portal or bring in more recruits.  It's more likely we bring in players.

If we do, so be it.  The results aren't satisfactory right now.

In terms of increasing mental toughness, fundamentals, and decision-making, at this point I’d be okay with recruiting Galloways and Leals, sprinkling in some athletic talent here and there and see what happens.

That’s basically what Knight did I think.

I’m not so sure that it isn’t what Wisconsin and Purdue have been doing too.

Like Lander?  And whose to say they even set foot on campus

Lander is an anomaly as every other 5* we have landed since 2000 started as freshmen. There are no guarantees about JHS but he has a college ready body and is playing against, and practicing with, a slew of high level D1 players while Lander took it to the rim against some dudes from Central or Bosse. I’m betting on JHS but we shall see.

Yeah, there is a whole swath of potential fans that have been lost over the past 2 decades.  Too much to get their attention and watching your team lose, lose, lose just is not fun.

I have told my wife several times over the years that I think we might be better.  I felt we were a bit better this year and the February has happened...

Yep. I want experienced players from good teams. This getting the studs from terrible teams is just not panning out

I rather bring in Freshmen then transfer portal guys. I think molding them to a certain system helps a player develop better then a guy who has jumped around 2/3 times already.

Your not bringing in that many freshmen in 2022. It’s too late

Lander was supposed to be good. There are no guarantees. JHS is supposed to be good but we don’t know that yet.  And as I said I’m skeptical he sets foot on campus

We all can agree that Lander has been a major disappointment but I’m not sure I would assume every guard after him is going to be a bust. This should really be Landers true freshman year. JHS is playing well/dominating games against top tier D1 talent every single game and Cupps has his team playing and beating many of the same teams and is on a national top 10 undefeated team. Both guys are winners and have attributes we haven’t had in guards for quite some time.

With all that said, I don’t think they are enough. We need them and some big time transfers in the off-season.

I agree it’s likely. But if he’s the real deal he could easily leave after a year and we have a single good guard for a year. Not a recipe for winning
