True. But nevertheless, it’s important to see that the staff;

1. Is not taking the terrible season in stride; they are actively doing something about it, and

2. Is able to retain and attract real talent even after the terrible season.

We seem to be adding depth on defense. We’ve added virtually nothing on offense yet. A third down guy and a few guys looking for pt.

Luckily we haven’t lost any big contributors to the portal. So, just clearing some dead weight toward the bottom of the roster and ideally replacing them with actual depth. Get a big freshman or two to contribute, plus add whoever else jumps on board for the February signing day and the post-spring ball “reality bites” transfer periods, and we should be fine. There’s still going to be a LOT of turnover even after this first signing period, so hopefully everyone has a little patience going into spring and summer.

There is literally no downside ever when adding a guy named “Tank” to a football team.

Who does Foley think is going to throw him the ball? To flip to IU right now as a pass catcher, you must have some idea a capable QB is in the wings. We need one badly.
