My prediction for this game was a 23 -12 Maryland win, I would have never envisioned 35 points from our offense the way things had been going but would also have never envisioned giving up over 400 yds passing to baby Tua.  Regardless of opposition that's 92 points given up in two weeks after a good defensive performance against MSU.

Georgia fans have been miserable cucks for over a decade. Anything but a National Championship is failure to them even though they haven’t won one in my lifetime. They’re almost as irrational as Purdue fans

I didn’t say they were happy he was leaving, they appreciated his recruiting abilities. But their evaluation of his DB coaching skills were not glowing. Obviously lots of variables and impossible to prove causation, but pretty easy to say they improved this year in that department.

I think the question then becomes does either Tuttle or Penix suit up for us as backups next year?

Unfortunately, Allen will probably go back with Penix.  Other than injury, I'm not sure what Penix would do to have Allen bench him.

The season is lost. I don’t hate shelving DMc to preserve his redshirt if we can. I’m not sure how many games he’s already played in though

I mentioned this earlier in the thread, but guys in the transfer portal era really don’t stick around long enough for a redshirt to matter anymore. I think him starting the rest of the season is way more valuable to him and the team than saving that year of eligibility.

Agreed but he’s a local kid at the QB position. I’d roll the dice he stays all five years. Just my opinion

Jury has to still be out for Sheridan. What do you expect him to do without a functioning O Line, a 3rd string true freshmen at QB and a defense that’s playing near the worst in the conference. Not to mention a punter who’s completely erratic and continuously gives the opposing team good field position? There’s not a coach on the plant who can polish this turd from the OC chair

No the verdict is pretty much in. He's god awful.

Warren has clout coming in from Georgia as a big time recruiter. Some guys just aren’t promotable. I don’t mind the hire, but if Allen is going to keep his job and actually make this program successful he has to be willing to fire guys who simply aren’t getting it done. Warren and Hiller are no brainers
Sheridan has to be the first to go.

Doesn’t make any sense. The offense has performed better than the defense under extreme peril. Our defense has regressed insanely from last year while only losing one key DB, getting one back in Ball and changing DCs. I do fault Sheridan for not having the guts to start Tuttle day one. Penix never had it back coming off injury but I don’t know that Allen didn’t make the ultimate choice

We aren’t watching the same games I don’t think. The offense had scored a total of 2 big ten TD’s until today. Until Ohio State the defense was giving up 22 points/game.

The Cincinnati, Iowa, and MSU games were entirely on the offense which has taken MAJOR steps back from 2019, all since Sheridan took over. The jury is still out on Warren imo, not Sheridan.

Tuttle has no business ever playing. He has had enough play to know he can't put points on the board to consistently win, ( michigan state game). A good offensive coordinator can come up with plays to help the weak OL but he continues to try to run the ball up the middle over and over again. I don't disagree that the other two don't need to go. I do think that Allen is to loyal to these guys to fire them. Allen being a nice guy will be his down fall

Tuttle has started 4 career games, Allen talked a bad OC into retiring (he’s actually had 5 coordinator hires, not 4. I was wrong earlier), sent 2 coordinators on to be successful head coaches, has a below average OC in his 2nd season and a jury’s still out DC in the middle of his 1st. What are you even talking about? None of your points are based in reality in the slightest.

We rank 12th in the conference in offense and 10th in defense. We suck on both sides of the ball. Maryland is actually worse than us on D (ranked 12th) so that may explain our offensive outburst today. This team is back to needing alot of work.

The only reason the jury is still out on Warren is that it’s the middle of his first season. He’s been awful and won’t make it past year 2.

That’s fine. I’m talking about this made-up loyalty thing.
