I know this recruitment is a bit odd, however....I wonder if he is wanting to see both IU and Maryland play a few games first and see how he could be utilized on both teams? Maryland plays #22 'Nova on Nov. 17th, IU plays #6 UCONN on Nov. 19th then IU vs. Maryland on December 1st. Who knows......I thought I would take a stab at it.. JMO

For me this is as easy recruitment as you can have.   Take away the junk noise that some were putting out this truly feels like a 5 star kid torn between 2 programs he really likes.   That’s the vibe I’ve gotten for a long time now and the people around him are smart enough to tell him that if he isn’t 100 percent about 1 school then don’t sign early sign when you are comfortable.   Do it on his own timeline not anyone else’s

The latest on DQ from Trilly. Not much to report here.
O don't necessarily get the warm and fuzzys that he want to get everyone in Maryland to announce. Call me crazy

Yah -- announcement party planning in Maryland doesn't exactly scream "leaving home."

This is going to be like TJD when he announced. If I remember right it was like on a Friday afternoon and he used an edit. Kind of came out of nowhere.

I remember that, it was like 11:20 am and then a second later, a commitment post out of the blue.

I don't disagree -- it's about the kid, not the program.  Players should sign with they are ready.  If a program doesn't wait around on a kid, the move on.  For five star kids like Queen, programs are always willing to wait and shift around if necessary.

I will say that if does chose to sign in the spring, that will put other schools into play outside of Maryland and Indiana.  It is what it is.

Houston and Kansas are still in play although most think it’s IU and Maryland but I agree if he waits until spring others could jump in.   As a staff you just recruit heck out of him until he says yes or no

Agree.  Sometimes maybe is worse than a no because it takes up recruiting time.

Becomes a serious balancing act.  Do you continue to devote major recruiting days to one particular target and thus reduce the amount of recruiting days you can devote to other targets?

If you could stomach it, watch that show he and the other 2 Maryland guys did yesterday. It was a mess. Like 45 minutes of made up stuff. Pure speculation.  You could tell, that guy knows nothing.

It was honestly overwhelming negative. Like they are trying to prepare themselves. They had to say multiple times “look, we are not saying Maryland lost him, we are just saying…”’

also, seems a few took that Trilly post as gospel. He said it was a “source” - not like it was confirmed etc. has since been refuted. Trilly also replied to his own tweet saying  “there is nothing to know if that makes sense”

answer is nobody knows. I will stick with, if it was Maryland it would already be over. Maybe he swings back to that but for sure not the case right now. Comes down to heart vs head. Head may be winning out but he has to get his heart there.

Pockets sometimes trump both head and heart.

Barring something changing, sounds like we shouldn't expect to see DQ sign anywhere during the November period

Not good for our chances if true.

He knows so much about IU. If he was sold he would commit. If he’s not sold by now there probably aren’t new variables that will change the equation.
