The IU job was never a good fit based on his personality. Archie won at Dayton and was able to recruit fairly well at a mid-major level. Dakich once referred to one of Archie's assistants as his "bag man". Whether that was Dakich being Dakich or if had actually heard that rumor, I don't know. Could be Archie won at Dayton because he cut corners recruiting. No proof, just wondering based on Dakich's statement and Archies results at IU and Rhode Island.
