IMO I'm very skeptical there is legitimate interest from Iowa in DeVries. I think his agent likes his name tagged to open roles so he can get more out of WVU. Maybe he really does want to come home though, despite the financial struggles. Even if that is the case, I don't see Iowa making that kind of investment in men's basketball. They are in a great position to take a bet on a high upside, low cost coach who could be there for 20+ years. IMO he is their #1 choice and he will be officially announced shortly after their tournament ends.

the story we’ve heard is that Woodson wanted Dolson to give him a public assurance that he would get a fifth year.  He would not (because he had plans to not do so).  Woodson sped that process up but thinking for some reason he had the power in the situation when he obviously didn’t.

It used to be a no-no, but I’ve been told there are exceptions to that “rule”. I believe the period is outside of the quotation marks when the quote captures a phrase. My grammar post was directed toward 007 Chris as a joke, and he seemed to receive it as such. I realize why so many attacked me over it, however.

Galen isn’t the most plugged in person in the world, but when he weighs in on something like this, it’s because he has good reason to believe what he’s saying is true. He most certainly has friends in the athletic department, and I know for a fact that he knows much more of what’s going on behind the scenes than he lets on, though he does drop hints every now and then if you pay attention.

This is not a hint though. This is a bold claim. I like it.
