Could be clearing some NIL money as well.  While Berg, Colvin, and Harris likely weren't big NIL payments, every little bit is going to help if you are more limited than other high majors.

Something to be said for a strategy of TKR, Smith, and Loyer are all going to be seniors and they are trying to bring in Oscar Cluff.  Need to make sure the core doesn't leave and you can afford to upgrade where needed.  For most of the year Purdue was playing a ten man rotation and I think the only senior was Furst.  Hard to keep that many guys happy if they aren't seeing an increase in minute and NIL.

Yeah totally. Caleb Love couldn't get into Michigan from UNC supposedly... UM is known to have strict transfer policies.

I’ve got a UM fan friend who says they’re most strict with third year players transferring in for their final undergraduate year…as was the case with Love and Shannon Jr. He was saying Dusty alluded to this point sometime recently.

As a Michigan football fan. The issue isn’t with underclassmen or grad transfers.

Had an IU pseudo-offer. A really talented kid who has gotten a lot of bad advice. He needs to commit somewhere and then stay and develop. I believe he was 1 of Preston Murphy’s guys, so who knows, maybe it’ll be Bloomington.
