Respectfully some of these dudes will make 6 figures and sit at the end of some benches

But some will never get an offer.  Wish I could find the number from last year for those who never got an offer.

Sebastian Mack, UCLA.  6'1" guard.  20.9 mpg, 9.6 pts, 2.1 rebounds, 1.7 assists.  Shot 43/31/74.  In his two seasons at UCLA, averaged 10.8 points, 2.8 rebounds, 1.7 assists, shooting 40/30/73.  Will have two years of eligibility.

Tony Adragna has added Mack to his list under the designation that we've reached out to him.

Will IU consider Briscoe?

He is a kid that is going to take 3 years to develop and probably has a backup ceiling.  He is looking for a bag and will do it every year.

Dez Briscoe? What makes you say the last part? A 3* committing to Iowa doesn't say chasing a bag to me.

He is just looking for the opportunity that will pay him the most.  Question is he going to wait for the right situation or screw himself.  Know someone who thought he should have stayed committed to Iowa as that was a really good opportunity for him.

Again, why do you say that? I'm not sure Briscoe is in the position to hold out for the most money. I think Coach DeVries and Drew Adams attending the 3A final at least suggests they are interested in Briscoe. He's an Indiana Elite player who was offered previously by DeVries at West Virginia.

My point is if he goes partaking every year…and he hasn’t produce which he won’t at IU or Iowa or another big program or even mid major….he will get lost in the shuffle which a lot of these kids portaling now will.  I get chasing a bag but a lot of these agents are also doing a huge disservice to a lot of these kids who will not have a D1 spot next year as well.

You still have said why you're accusing him of being a money-grubber. He decommitted from Iowa after Fran was fired. That's both common and understandable. You do realize that he's currently a high school senior and not actually in the portal, right?

He looks like a mid-major player so nothing wrong with committing to a school like Iowa which might also be able to pay more.

Sure, IF he enters the portal every year that would likely hurt him. That's a big if based on your opinion which you haven't backed up.

Anyways, I'm done. You don't like him, got it. I don't know that you need to be disparaging a kid that hasn't even finished HS yet by saying he's just a chasing a bag without backing that up.

Again, why do you assume all that? Iowa had a coaching change, it’s customary for a recruit to re-open his commitment in these kinds of situations. Every time I’ve seen this kid play he’s very active with an extremely high motor. He’s a plus athlete to boot. Could be a very nice player for somebody at this level one of these days if he develops.

Interesting given the family's history.   He's the third in his family to suit up for the Boilermakers, following in the footsteps of his father, Roosevelt, and his sister, Raven.
