We moved down a spot in Kenpom after winning this game.

When I looked before the game was posted, I saw us at 27....I see us as #27 now still.  Could be there was some reshuffling.

they carried us.

TJD came on in the second half a bit though.

IMO, it was one of 3 "can't lose" we had left on our schedule. The other 2, MSU and MN.

TJD put in 43 minutes and had to sit for a couple of minutes when he banged knees.  That's a lot to have a big man have to play.

With a miracle win over Ohio State, Indiana would be 12-8(7-6) with a possibility of being ranked in the Top 25 for once. Problem is that it'll take an absolute miracle.

Next week will be our best, and probably last, chance to get that elusive 2-0 week. Even if we do, it probably still won't be enough.

Ken Pom had us as a 2 point favorite and a 60% to win.   He had it about right.  What’s interesting about Ken Pom is that he has northwestern at 71.    He views northwestern as a better team then the NET does(86).   Teams will take top 100 road wins all day long

How in the **** did we win that game?!

I was in an interview and watching out of the corner of my eye. Really hope to be able to watch the ending of that game.

From the box score, Al and Armaan carried us. How did Race and Trayce not dominate that front line?

TJD didn't score until 3 seconds left in the first half.

The one thing that Young and Nance have is size.  Both did a decent job of using their size and bulling their way down low.  Young certainly gets the most of his talent, because he certainly has zero foot speed and leaping ability.

NET blows.  It's a ridiculous system.

I think we're in if we beat MSU, MN, both at home, and one of PU or Rutgers on the road.

Anyone know if they are going to make up the postponed AT Michigan game?

Low post double from the weak side. A killer for Trace on any night but this time they doubled Race as well. To their credit, NW really clogged the paint. Reminded me of Juwan’s senior season. Absolutely no reason to defend a shooter. Any team that doesn’t double Trace from the weak side is making a huge mistake. When they didn’t, he scored.

I think Chris Collins has Archie’s number in a similar way to Archie having Izzo’s or Crean having Beilein’s. Northwestern obviously didn’t pull out the W but his teams always seem to give Archie’s a fit. They always shoot well from deep and hold Archie’s offenses to abysmal performances. Thankfully it didn’t bite Archie in the @$$ again today.

TJD looked best when he went quick enough to get going before the double arrived.  But he didn't do that at all until the second half.

I just don’t think it’s a secret on how to cripple this team. It’s obvious even. Double the post, dare them to shoot from the perimeter. Teams know that the deep ball is inconsistent for us. Take away Trace and at that point the only offense Indiana is left with is dribble penetration into a crowd. The sheer number of high ball screens vs. off-ball picks is a dead give away. That accounts for the large numbers of floaters we take. The only option is to force help through penetration. Is not a winning strategy for a team that struggles with what? Shooting free throws.

So TJD was getting **** down by the slow dude and a dude who couldn't even hold his brothers jock strap? That's our best player?

Yes, the guy averaging 19 points and 9 rebounds is our best player.  And them concentrating so much on Indiana -- while very successful at it -- is part of the reason that Franklin and Durham combined for 47 points.

I guess I don't see why people are enamored with Chris Collin's ability to coach.  I don't know how many games I've seen his team lose when they lead late and then go into a shell offensively.  Seems to take a knee before the clock runs out quite often.  Also think his second half adjustments are weak.

For this reason I'm left even more confounded why we don't get out and run more. We aren't very good from the FT line and even worse from 3pt range. We can struggle getting our shots to go down in traffic at the rim, so why not steal some points from the fast break? I can really only recall one instance early in the first half when Lander hit Franklin with a nice pass on the break for a layup. Didn't get to watch the second half as closely so not sure there we many chances there, but regardless we don't seem to have that as part of our game. Not sure if it's Archie or the players, but Lander seems to be the only one looking to do so, but he also plays with a different motor (fast and downhill) than our usual ball handlers. Just a bit puzzling to me
