Played 18 this afternoon. Only got to see the last 5 minutes. Good game Hoosiers!
I enjoy listening to BW mostly off beat nonsense. He’s off the Wall-ton funny.
He gave me a good tip yesterday about Steve Martin’s book “Born Standing Up”. I got an e-book for free from our local library.
It’s a good read.

The box score does not show you how much information you missed about Bruce Hornsby. Be sure to have the volume up for the last 2/3rd’s of the first half and you will learn more than you ever imagined about Bruce.

If this team tried every game.  I wouldn’t be over Archie.  He would have a record above .500 in the big ten.  There would be hope. When your scrappy and try every game there’s hope.  We can’t string 6 good games together. So what hope is there?

52.9% FG, 33.3% 3FG, 80% FT and they played solid defense to win by 16 points.  Amazing how that works.
Take away Lander's 1-5 from deep and we actually shot it really well.  We gave up some early points from missed outside shots.  We need to take threes but we need to take them in the right sets at the right time.  Otherwise we're wasting shots going at the basket.

Yeah, it’s just not going to be a big part of their game. I know y’all want to light it up from deep, but it isn’t the team strength and in fact, steals attempts from the focus of your offense. Attempts from deep need to be limited to under 15/game in my opinion. We shoot under 30% as a team which basically means a 3 point attempt is a turnover. Many of your backboard smashing , clanked, 3point turnovers lead to scores on the other end. I saw several posters complaining that we were “passing up” open shots on the perimeter today....you bet your @$$ they were. Your horse had 31 down low today. I’m sure the perimeter players were told what the focus of the offense was and guess it wasn’t smashing glass from 30 feet.

Unfortunately, no.  He had several possessions where he didn't know if he was coming or going.  He just seems off to start the season.

Not sure where you pulled 30 from  Archie has a 58-44 record at IU.  So he’s +14. Considering the number of cupcakes we play each year.  We are about 50/50 in non cupcake games.  He’s basically the definition of average.  Except his salary.

Edit:  The around 30 number was from his preconference wins.  I mean we can assume if we won them they were all cupcakes.  Or is that putting words in your mouth too?  If so I might need a decoder to the point you were trying to make as any pushback will require you to come at me I am sure.

Another quality win versus a tournament quality team or at least a team that will be in the conversation.  This win came without your 2 seniors.   2-1 trip playing nothing but teams that will be considered for the tournament shouldn’t be overlooked.   Bad games happen and they most definitely had one yesterday and came back today and scored over 70 points.  College basketball is a crazy sport to figure out sometimes.   They have a good enough defense that if they ever get a consistent shooter they will be a tough out come tournament time.   Not going to make everyone happy but that’s life

I didn’t say that.  I never said we play like crap 50% of the time.

Good win today. Texas is up 12 at halftime on North Carolina. Yesterday's loss was bad, but Texas might be a lot better than we realized. Good to see them bounce back and play tough after getting worked yesterday.
