Gunn seems like a good kid but not sure he’s the level of talent we want. 3 star ranked #149 in his class. Could still have an impact but I’d prefer we keep the recruiting of kids outside the top 100 to a minimum.

If we’re going to take 3-star kids I’ll take athletic instate ones.

Lawrence North on the road at Carmel and Carmel jumped out to an early double digit lead and led 27-12 at the half.  Gunn held to 3 pts.  After 3 it was a 47-29 Carmel lead; Gunn up to 11 pts.  LN made a strong 4th Q run but too little too late and Carmel won 68-61.  Gunn finished with 27p  3r  3s.

LN had no answer for Pete Suder (Bellarmine commit).   He scored 13 of Carmel's 19 third Q points and at one time had 32 pts. on 9-9 on 2s; 2-3 on 3s and 8-8 on FT.

I tell you what—a 24 point second half at Carmel to lead that comeback is pretty ******* good and even more impressive after getting owned in the first half.

Every single thing reported about CJ Gunn’s on court and off-court makeup this season has been extremely positive.

This is starting to seem NOT like an in-state project just to fill a slot.

Feels like we got a real live high ceiling player that can be a culture builder here

Agree. I hope he’s patient and has the desire to work and earn PT. I imagine Bates, JHS, and Galloway will get bulk of guard minutes to start. That’s not considering Leal or Lander who he could jump maybe. Lotsa guards. Which then begs the question, who comes back?

Good problem to have. Most of these guys are big enough to play three of them at the same time.
