Curious if VCU and SDSU are already locked in or if they still have to play their way in. If either or both are part of the 36 locks, it adds another spot or two for those stuck in the bubble from hell.

Prevailing thought last night was SDSU and New Mexico were playing for a tournament bid, and SDSU won. I'm not real confident that a bid-stealer here at the end wouldn't knock them back out, though. VCU I'm a little more confident is in.

I would guess no.  At least one of them is probably not locked in and maybe neither are.    VCU doesn’t have a win against the projected field and their WAB is right at 42.   San Diego St has 1 win against the projected field and has a WAB 45.   Both are right on the line

Committee definitely needs a contingency bracket today.  VCU is right on the cut line.  If they win they will get the auto bid and can’t play in Dayton so if they were in the last 4 in then they will have to move a team down into the First 4.   If they lose does the committee move them all the way out or leave them in the First 4.   3 A-10 teams?

I think you are probably spot on. The only teams you have out that I think have any chance whatsoever are Auburn and San Diego State.

I'm waiting to post mine here until that result. Also, if Penn beats Yale I'm probably flipping a 12/13 seed too. The Wichita/USF final is gonna end to late to change seeds.

Auburn would be doing something that no team has done to get in.  Only 1 game over .500 and 16 losses.  I don’t see them setting a precedent of including a team like that

South Florida/Wichita winner will probably be in the same spot on the seed list

San Diego st is my first team out so if VCU loses they might sneak in.   Who knows with the committee.  I didn’t think there was anyway West Virginia would get left out but they did.   Always 1 team the committee adds just to add to throw us off. lol

The thing is...if it comes down to Auburn or Texas for the last spot, Auburn is higher in the WAB, higher in the NET, and beat Texas head-to-head (albeit at Auburn).
