Do we have a rooting interest in SDSU and Boise State?

Loss by Boise eliminates them.   Loss by SDSU moves them close to Dayton/Out and improves Boise's resume.

I think we want Boise to lose to not give them a chance to steal a bid.

Indiana does not deserve a tournament bid.  Give it to a mid major whose players and coaches appear to actually give a ****.

Our delusional coach and players never really understand the analytics.  They haven’t played with fire until too little and too late. They thought they were in Comfy after the Ohio State game.  Say they are playing tournament level ball for a while.  All while not understanding their NET has never been above 52.

Imagine Woody trying to explain even basics tenets of the NET system or Quad wins.
Ecstatic we’re due for a complete refresh.

Lunardi now has North Carolina in. North Carolina is 1-11 in Q1 games. For some reason, we are constantly lead to believe that losing is okay if it's to good teams. Being 1-11 is good enough because it was to good teams. Don't actually worry about beating them, just make sure they exist on the schedule. Indiana might as well schedule its entire out of conference against teams that'll be Q1 and hope to win just one.

Joe has a way of changing his last 4 in right before Sunday.   If they don’t win tomorrow expect Joe to move them out early Sunday

Yeah I don’t do bracketologu but I find it interesting enough and IU has spent the better part of a decade on the bubble. So I’m not @Uspshoosier but I have a pretty good handle on it.

Not convinced UNC is in unless they beat Duke tomorrow, not convinced Texas is in without more work, and I’m not sure West Virginia is in either, though admittedly I think WVU would be out more in a “committee does something dumb and WVU gets jobbed” way than in a “didn’t earn it” way.

So what would our rooting guide be if it is still worth following?

Obvious ones are:

UNC loss

Texas loss

Boise St loss

Colorado St loss

Am I missing any other big ones?

You want VCU and Memphis to keep winning (I think IU would be ahead of VCU anyway but wouldn’t hurt for them to keep winning)

those would be the main ones.  I still think outside chance Big West could get 2 bids

UC San Diego and UC Irvine will get consideration if they fall into the at-large pool

Delphi just released their bracket this morning and has IU as last team in.

Delphi also has UNC ahead of us which in my uneducated opinion isn’t likely.  If they beat Duke today then sure, but as of now no.  We should compare well to Xavier and San Diego St.

Re:  the crown tournament

the crown tournament is to take two ‘automatic qualifiers’ from the big ten, big East, and big 12 and then have a committee select the rest.  But they haven’t stated what auto bids are based on.  Worth noting that before they canceled it in 24, they had discussed using Pom ratings and net ratings.

worth noting that Ohio state and northwestern have both better net and Pom ratings than Indiana.  Chris Collins post game said northwestern will not play in any postseason tournies and there is no way IU will want to.

Top 2 NET teams that don’t make the tourney from each of those conferences

Kind of odd that they had us ahead of Xavier and SDSU yesterday. We all 3 lost but they moved us behind both of them.

…and we lost to a better team than at least SDSU. I don’t think there’s a lot of oxygen between Oregon and Marquette in reality though they have Oregon four lines higher. So it doesn’t add up.
