Popular Post Class of '66 Old Fart Posted May 27, 2020 Popular Post Posted May 27, 2020 Corey Evans - Yes, Indiana is still the team to beat for Trey Kaufman, but that doesn’t mean that a commitment is right around the corner. While some of his peers in the 2021 Rivals150 have come to a quick college decision, Kaufman doesn’t seem to be in a rush. Kaufman has only taken official visits thus far to Indiana and Purdue. While the ability to connect with various coaching staffs via Zoom calls and virtual visits has helped, those solutions don't replace in-person, on-campus visits. Louisville, Virginia and Xavier have done their best to hold him off from committing, and Kentucky and North Carolina have also shown interest, but I expect Kaufman to ultimately choose the Hoosiers. I am not from the area, and always appreciate the 'inside baseball!'The staff has been very consistent with Trey. They’ve done a good job showing him how minutes are available from Day 1. Also, Ostrom has built a really good relationship with Trey and the family. I would say more so than any of the other programs. I might have posted it here once (or maybe it was another IUBB site), but I witnessed firsthand the way Ostrom interacted with Trey’s mom and younger brother after a home game when other coaches were standing together by the locker room. The other college coaches were standing there quiet and not really engaging with the family and Ostrom almost looked like he was there with the family. That’s how they were interacting with each other. So a level of comfort has definitely been established. That isn’t up for debate, regardless of which college he chooses. Sent from my iPhone using BtownBanners mobile app jk34, MemphisHoosier and woodenshoemanHoosierfan 3 Quote
Uspshoosier Posted June 3, 2020 Posted June 3, 2020 Just for a FYI it looks like 247 crystal ball only recognizes people who work for 247 now. In the past it allowed independent websites to put in picks. Slater must of left 247 because his picks are gone Sent from my iPhone using BtownBanners mamasa and mdn82 2 Quote

Most sites have him around 65-75. I'd bet he makes the 2021 top 50 before this is all said and done. IUsafety and WayneFleekHoosier 2 Quote

I agree, if he had the chance to shine this summer, i think he would've been top 30. that may be a benefit for us in the end, keeps other teams off him. I was looking at the box scores for some of his games this past high school season and he was a beast. Quote

LamarCheeks Posted June 18, 2020 Posted June 18, 2020 The Trey Patterson speculation is running rampant, but I haven't heard anything recently about the Trey who's probably a more realistic get. Anybody have any intel on him? ... Someone on here (I think he had a handle of JerryYeagley something or other) declared Kaufman was gonna commit back in April -- even had a specific day targeted. That didn't happen and I don't think JerryYeagley has been heard from since. ALASKA HOOSIER, thebigweave and jk34 3 Quote
