You can switch words. We had fun with that over the years. There is a dislike for Archie and his staff. He has called Archie little Archie several times and said he won’t be there 3 years. Asks IU fans not to @ him on Twitter about Alford when what the heck has Archie done for fans to want him to be the guy. Why him and not Davis or Crean. Wants to know why he is the guy. Asks what improvement has there been from last year. Asked what program lost first game to Indiana st last year, last game to Rutgers and having to a last second shot beat a mediocre butler team and then stormed the court pretty much making fun of the program and fans. Personally for me listening to him on radio I don’t think he likes Archie at all. Numerous times he has called him Sean and then a comment line or whatever the heck is name is. He has also done this with former and current players. Making fun of kids for storming a court after one of their teammates hit a last second shot in a neutral court game against a Quad 1 worthy opponent is silly. I think i have him figured out. He is certainly egotistical. It’s a love:hate thing for him with Indiana. I get it. The Indiana he knew wouldn’t have celebrated beating a butler the way we did. It was a glorious shot and I have no problem with it but I could see where he is coming from. He is right that we have a history of cannibalizing our own. The bigger question is many of them deserve it, maybe?? Knight, Dakich, Alford come to mind. Probably others. I know he doesn’t like “cheaters” and if he thinks Archie and Sean operate in the gray that may explain the Archie stuff. IDk. Just projection here but could explain it plus he wanted Alford to get the gig clearly. Although Alford definitely operates in the gray so who knows.
