Even to me, someone who is far from an expert, I can't understand the number of times that we need 9 yards and we throw a 7-yard pass, etc. It's blatantly clear to me that this tactic has failed on so many occasions but I can't fathom why Coach Allen hasn't given DeBord a kick in the a$$ and told him his play calling sucked. We have to throw screen passes against long yardage because our QB can't throw it down the field today. We get roughing the passer penalties. Chop blocks. Personal fouls. Undisciplined garbage. We have to get lucky and get the right up and comer. But realistically that guy will leave if he can prove himself. That’s why I root for Allen. He would stay no matter what success he has.
