EVANSVILLE -- It was a career weekend for Khristian Lander.

A top 30 recruit in the Class of 2021, the Reitz sophomore went off in a pair of games for the Panthers. For his efforts, Lander was named the Indiana Basketball Coaches Association Player of the Week for District 3.

Lander averaged 30.5 points per game over the weekend and seemed to be on a mission to one-up himself.

In a 62-61 loss to Bedford North Lawrence on Friday, the 6-foot-2 guard scored 31 points with five rebounds, six assists and three steals. At the time, it was a career high in points for Lander. The mark lasted 24 hours.

Lander exploded for 40 points in a 70-54 win over Terre Haute South on Saturday. He added eight rebounds, three assists and two steals for the Panthers. Over two days, Lander was 25 for 37 from the floor and 10 of 15 on three-pointers.

The rising star upped his scoring average to 25.1 points per game for Reitz (5-5), who travels to Memorial for the start of the Southern Indiana Athletic Conference tournament on Tuesday. Lander is being recruited by top schools around the Midwest and already has scholarship offers from Indiana, Kansas, Purdue, Ohio State, Illinois, Iowa and Kansas State.

He took an unofficial visit to Louisville on Sunday.
