That isn't even an argument worth arguing against because of how illogical it is. And yeah, most college players aren't actually that good at basketball. Hanner Perea had a scholarship to a major 5 school and he couldn't catch a basketball, Hollowell looked like he was reading some ancient language when he had the ball in his hands. But yeah, sure they're good at basketball.... Lol wow IUc2016 and BGleas 2 Quote

They were good, of course, but I never would've guessed they were going D1 if I hadn't known beforehand. I think it makes a difference whether we're talking high major or mid to low major. This belongs in the eye rolling statements hall of fame. I went to high school with a guy who was a bench player for Cornell He was pretty unstoppable against non division talent. BGleas 1 Quote
VO5 Posted March 25, 2018 Posted March 25, 2018 Using specific D1 college players to prove a point about most D1 college players is incredibly ignorant. 90% of players in D1 aren’t good? Lol that’s just a laughable statement. D1 players are probably in the top 1-2% of players in the world. IUc2016, IUsafety, Hovadipo and 1 other 4 Quote

One of the D1 players I played against when we were seniors scored a half dozen points and lost to us by 29 points. We were a 1A school. Roll your eyes if you'd like, and maybe he had an off game, but I was expecting much more from a D1 player. There was nothing impressive about him that night. Where'd he go to college Quote

Upsets are cool, but I would have much rather watched Arizona vs Kentucky rather than Kentucky destroying Buffalo. I would have much rather seen Purdue playing Nova today. The best matchup of the tourney is going to be an E8 game between Kansas and Duke. Too many Cinderellas can ruin a tourney. Add that with the poor quality of teams this year because for whatever reason CBB has went downward from even last year. Really isn't an interesting year. CCinderellas are great but marquee matchup are even better. Haven't had that this year. In your opinion Quote

I don't want to watch UK vs. Zona forget that. Buffalo and UK was a solid game for much of the first 38 mins. TTU is just better than Purdue that's why they won. This has been the best tourney I can remember. Very enjoyable. thebigweave and chicagoHOOSIER 2 Quote

UK vs Zona would have been much more interesting with the amount of talent on the floor in a 2nd round game. Not worried about talent.. worried about the quality of basketball. Purdue always looks slow and unathletic when they get beat in the dance. They are a good fundamental team but they struggle when teams can match them in skill, but exceed them athletically. It’s why they will never win a national title. Gotta get better athletes to compete. Iugradman and Crimson and Cream 2 Quote

They wanted nothing to do with the NCAA tourney. TTU would have beat puke with Haas. pu is drastically less athletic at 3 starting spots and less athletic at a fourth. That only gets you so far.
