I wanted them to lose but not like this. Hopefully, he makes a full recovery and goes on to do big thing. Hopefully pu bows out quickly too. Ajwhitis Posted March 16, 2018 Posted March 16, 2018 As much as I hate Purdue, I respected Haas, it does suck to see him go out.I also wish they lost at full strength so PU fans can't say "We would've won with Haas." ElectricBoogaloo, thebigweave, Stromboli and 4 others 6 1 Quote
Hoosierfan2017 Posted March 16, 2018 Posted March 16, 2018 It's douchey, but I won't pretend to be upset about Haas going down. Hope this leads to an early exit for Purdue. Josh 1 Quote

Ajwhitis Posted March 16, 2018 Posted March 16, 2018 Haas was like onf of the only two respectable Purdue players I've seen. The other being Robbie Hummel. chicagoHOOSIER 1 Quote

Roy Williams is the only one that never loses in the first round. God knows I am glad we didn’t have another bad hire in Marshall, but this isn’t why. Hopefully he can retool and we can play them at some point. Sent from my iPhone using BtownBanners mobile app woodenshoemanHoosierfan 1 Quote
chicagoHOOSIER Posted March 16, 2018 Posted March 16, 2018 I know a lot of people say we are not supposed to like Butler anymore, but I really like watching them play basketball. And just as I post that, they look tired, and make 4 mistakes in the next 5 possessions lol. Not all the mistakes bite them in the @$$ tho. Butler must lack depth this year coz no substitutions. BUT 79 ARK 62 I've decided I still like Butler. thebigweave, IUsafety, woodenshoemanHoosierfan and 2 others 5 Quote
TheWatShot Posted March 16, 2018 Posted March 16, 2018 I had a really good first day yesterday, today I've already missed two and two others I picked are both down by nine at the half. Same thing, every year. Quote

Agreed. The down side being a state school not named IU will be in the sweet sixteen. chicagoHOOSIER 1 Quote
LamarCheeks Posted March 16, 2018 Posted March 16, 2018 As much as I can't stand Purdue, I'm sad to see the news about Isaac Haas. Despite his wandering elbows against us, he's an easy kid to root for. His sister has a rare form of epilepsy and at her worst, could have as many as 25 seizures a day. The folks in West Lafayette did a gofundme page for her and raised a bunch of money to get her a seizure dog. ... Plus, I'm from one of those half-PU, half-IU families -- my dad was raised near Lafayette and went to PU. He passed last May, so I was sorta hoping they might have a nice run so he could enjoy it from where he is. But I'm not sure how far they'll get now. mdn82, IUsafety, thebigweave and 2 others 5 Quote

Sent from my SM-G930V using Tapatalk The biggest effect this has is that now opposing teams only really have to focus on defending the three, rather than attempting to defend both inside and outside, plus they lose bench depth down low big time. If they shoot how they have this season, I expect them to succeed, if they go cold, they'll be in trouble. RatpigHoosier 1 Quote
