Hardwood83 Posted March 1, 2018 Posted March 1, 2018 Is RMK feeling ok? That sounded complimentary! Hard to argue with either point. ALASKA HOOSIER, Stromboli, Naturalhoosier and 1 other 4 Quote

He isn’t one to throw out compliments. In nine years I think the only compliment to Crean was he ran a clean program and got the kids to play hard. In general I don’t agree with a lot of things Knight says any longer, but he can help the fractured fan base by things like this. IMO “Patience is not something a lot of fans have,” Knight said. “But this kid (Miller) is going to do a good job. Why? Because he can coach. Most of the coaches I’ve known, can’t coach. You folks are going to appreciate him, but it ain’t gonna happen in a year.”Sent from my iPhone using BtownBanners mobile app pumpfake, ThompsonHoosier, mamasa and 20 others 23 Quote

Hurryin' Hoosiers Posted March 1, 2018 Posted March 1, 2018 Made a lot of nice comments. Not a big fan of how Knight has been acting but maybe he is listening to Elsa's song "Let it go" Iugradman, southsidehoosier, IUBBFan1970 and 3 others 6 Quote
Hoosierfan2017 Posted March 1, 2018 Posted March 1, 2018 I'd love for him to come back to Assembly. I think he would like Archie's style. Here's to hoping! ALASKA HOOSIER and Whoozhers 2 Quote
Popular Post RatpigHoosier Posted March 1, 2018 Popular Post Posted March 1, 2018 I think Archie will be the one who can bring the fan base back together with or without Knight, mainly because of what RMK stated....he can coach. Nice comments such as these might just accelerate things a bit. Good to hear. Now whether RMK's ice melts enough to come back to SSAH is another matter.Sent from my iPhone using BtownBanners Hardwood83, jonz44, ALASKA HOOSIER and 8 others 11 Quote
cleeter Posted March 1, 2018 Posted March 1, 2018 (edited) I love the quote about Archie from him. I would have to think that having RMK back you and saying that you can "coach" and "do a good job", definitely cant be a bad thing. I just wish RMK would come back to AH one time at least. Everyone that was associated with the university when he was there is gone now. This is a whole new regime. Could you just imagine how that place would react if he walked in. It would probably crumble to the ground. But i feel this all a pipe dream and will never happen but hey......a man can dream right? Class of '66 Old Fart Posted March 1, 2018 Posted March 1, 2018 Crean tried to fawn over Bob and kissing a$$ in hindsight was probably doomed to fail. Maybe if Archie does his “fawning” with his coaching who knows. He could just show up one day and catch everyone by surprise. ALASKA HOOSIER, IUBBFan1970, RatpigHoosier and 2 others 5 Quote

Crean did a lot wrong, but he embraced Indiana history and clearly wanted Knight & his players to be part of the program. Snubbing him was childish and inexcusable. I was a huge fan of Bobby growing up and even until about 6-8yrs ago when it became painfully clear he doesn't care about anyone other than himself. Great coach, shallow human being. theriverpilot, triple, MIUGA and 15 others 17 1 Quote

I can't agree more. I looked forward to watching every game as a kid with Bobby on the sidelines but his childish attitude has always been one of his biggest detriments. IUBBFan1970 1 Quote
