MSU....Heat on Izzo?

I can't begin to describe how, as a father of two girls and grandfather of four, how disgusted I am from reading this. How can that many young men, football and basketball, be that entitled and disrespectful? What can they possibly be thinking? And finally, why are they not in jail? I usually preface this by "if the allegations are true" but so much has come out that something is seriously wrong in East Lansing.

AMEN!

I really can't see how Izzo keeps his job after all this, although I'm sure they'll push back on the woman, and try to dismiss her claim...disgusting.

Not to minimize the allegations here, but addressing Izzo's part, it goes back to the old saying "it's not the crime it's the cover-up"

I understand the motivation to "protect" your players, but hiding heinous crimes for personal gain is despicable.

1. Michigan State is beyond an embarrassment at this point. They're abhorrent.

2. Izzo needs to be gone. He should have stepped down/been removed back when this first broke, but it’s an established pattern at this point. Even if the farthest-wing conspiracy theorist thinks he had no knowledge/took the appropriate steps, this kind of stuff does not just keep happening at the same program. They need a change.

3. Judging by a lot of their fans coming to the defense of the MSU program yet again, this should be another reminder of keeping perspective when it comes to self-identity and your favorite teams. Whether its MSU, Penn State, UNC, Louisville, or just about any other program, every fan base dealing with accusations "knows the facts" and the rest of the country simply reads the headlines. Everything is a witch hunt from some biased media that only favors UNC and Alabama, who are both “untouchable” by the NCAA (despite major punishments levied at both schools within the last two decades). As much as I would like to think IU fans would be able to keep their priorities straight if something major were to ever happen at our school, the sample sizes across the country point to blind defense as the norm, especially if it happened under an established coach.

Didn't we kind of have that with Bob Knight. Many people, including me for awhile, defended his actions even after the video came out.

I didn't but knight would have been fired a decade before if he wasn't winning just like izzo now. He is winning and they won't fire him. He would have to retire.

I was told this weekend that they are concerned in East Lansing because the state's attorney general is practically living there collecting information about the athletic department.

Who's 'they'?

If you have political aspirations taking down izzo would be a great start
