FW Blackhawk Christian (26-3) was defeated by Southwood  55-53.  Furst had 13 pts. and 9 reb.  He had to sit out quite a bit of the first half due to foul trouble and picked up his fourth late in the third quarter.

Wow.. all kinds of upsets today

Furst played well in limited minutes Saturday.  He had 1 call go against him that was questionable, but his other fouls he was consistently out of position.  He was not very assertive at any point in the game.  Furst definitely had two plays where you could see the potential but other than that fairly quiet.  My expectations were high, but he needs to continue to get stronger thus I think increasing his confidence. Bottom line......all the physical tools are there, top 25 player in his class.

Purdue likes to offer recruits at a young age. I wonder if Archie will follow suit soon. Don’t want to lose out on a player because we sat on our hands.

Need to offer when enough evaluation is done and that a kid is not just good but fits our needs and is also very interested in IU. No point In offering early if those things are all nit clear

Does anyone remember the Matt Carlino offer? I haven’t seen this kid play and certainly won’t compare Archie to the tan one, but how many blue blood programs are offering freshmen and sophomores? Plus, a lot can change in a couple years. TDJ said Purdue was his first offer and it meant something. That something will keep them in the final mix only to be heartbroken when he becomes our first 2019 commit.
