Franklin isn’t Critically Acclaimed. We just have to trust coach here. It could and likely is one of those deals where the difference between 75 and 150 isn’t very discernible which I think is often the case.

I agree you are picking straws when the rank is in the same stratosphere. Also, I think it is easier to see how Newman fits into the college game with his skill set vs a combo guard.

We just have to find a way to beat them.

I'll admit I was enjoying OSU being down, after they've been successful with Oden, Conley, and DeShaun Thomas.

Lately it feels like the BIG hasn’t been killing it on the recruiting trail so I like it. We need the conference to be stronger moving forward. Looks that much better when we win it.

He is from Kentucky so if that opportunity ever comes calling I imagine he will take the first flight. Wishful thinking and also means Holtmann is dominant in Columbus before Cal retires. OSU is growing at the same so there is going to a budding rivalry with IU on the court and recruiting trail imo.

The first day of the early signing period is Wednesday and only 1 of the 29 non committed #Rivals150 prospects in the class of 2019, Drew Timme, has set a time and date for an announcement. Could be lots of winter drama on the horizon

Yep. Looks like we're some of Brooks, TJD,  Watford, Hurt, or bust. Unless coaching changes open up some of our former prospects  recruitements in the spring.

Some interesting national notes as the early signing period is over.
Khalil Whitney didn’t sign during the early signing period for Kentucky. Since he is away at prep school he wants to sign in hometown and couldn’t work it out during the early signing period.
Rocket Watts didn’t sign with Michigan St early. Said the same thing he wants to sign in Detroit and couldn’t work it out while away at prep school.
Each recruiting cycle seems to have its own themes and this year it seems a lot of more top recruits are going to wait until spring to sign even ones who have verbally committed to a college.

I mean, at this point he has DWade, Vic, and a decent number of other NBA players to his name. He has some legitimate cred when it comes to getting kids to the NBA.

 

In this case, the kid is also from ATL. That said, Crean will create some good Georgia teams and make some noise at UGA. It’s what he does. However, we’ll see if he learned from his time at Indiana...
