AZ Hoosier Posted October 3, 2017 Posted October 3, 2017 I don't see how anyone can read that Doyel article and think he was trying to drub up something. One pretty much gets that feeling by just reading the byline on his columns. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk Pro Tom White 1 Quote

HinnyHoosier Posted October 3, 2017 Posted October 3, 2017 Oddly enough Goodman deleted this tweet. Not that it means anything. I would imagine the story is still up on ESPN though. Maybe he just felt wrong about tweeting things he knows are false. Lol.Sent from my iPhone using BtownBanners mobile app MikeRoberts and ALASKA HOOSIER 2 Quote

HooHooHoo22 Posted October 4, 2017 Posted October 4, 2017 Every top program that’s been cheating is gonna keep cheating. Hell with all that Louisville has done, they’ll probably be back in the tittle picture within in 4-5 years. I just have no faith in the NCAA doing anything about this. We’ll keep losing kids to colleges that are cheating and that’s how it’s gonna be. Sent from my iPhone using BtownBanners Quote
Popular Post WayneFleekHoosier Posted October 4, 2017 Popular Post Posted October 4, 2017 Interesting. He knew though. They all do. That's my point. Some schools just have bigger budgets. The shoe company/agent thing took it out of the hands of boosters. For example.....since when has Oregon been a basketball school? Now 5 stars flock there. Washington??? Mississippi State? Auburn? Western Freaking Kentucky? Recently Baylor. Sent from my iPhone using BtownBanners HoosierAloha, HooHooHoo22, thebigweave and 5 others 8 Quote
Popular Post WayneFleekHoosier Posted October 4, 2017 Popular Post Posted October 4, 2017 Our Scandal with Sampson just kept us from competing with the other blue bloods because we couldn't safely offer what they do. It makes me mad beyond belief to think our little Sampson debacle set us back so far and other schools like UNC, Kansas, Duke and UK cheat their butts off and haven't had to pay the piper. WayneFleekHoosier Posted October 4, 2017 Posted October 4, 2017 Who we hired as coach had more to do with how long we were set back than the NCAA infractions, which were minor. IU doesn't tolerate the kind of dirty s**t that goes on at those schools you mentioned. That's my point. That's also why we haven't been winners in the era of cheating we are currently in. (Not entirely why) You can win and be clean but it is WAY harder. Gonzaga? Wichita State.I don't trust Villanova to be clean. Cleaner maybe but not clean. Not too many schools winning on the big stage without 5 stars. Sent from my iPhone using BtownBanners mobile app Quote
8bucks Posted October 4, 2017 Posted October 4, 2017 Anyone see how deep this usually goes down the ranking scale? For example if one and done guys get $150,000 do some lower 4* guys get some money too? Sent from my iPhone using BtownBanners ALASKA HOOSIER and Josh 2 Quote

WayneFleekHoosier Posted October 4, 2017 Posted October 4, 2017 Anthony Davis was loosely rumored to get 250K. Seems like a reasonable number for #1. Heck Chris Webber got 200k 20 years ago. Sent from my iPad using BtownBanners sabaka, BtownBanner6 and bmrin1 3 Quote

Walking Boot of Doom Posted October 4, 2017 Posted October 4, 2017 I can't imaging $250k is all it took to buy Davis. Or a Wiggins. Mudiay went abroad and received a one year $1 million dollar contract, and a shoe deal with Under Armor. Let's assume that was AT LEAST $500k a year. $1.5 million for one year by skipping college? $250K is a joke, in my opinion. WayneFleekHoosier and bmrin1 2 Quote
Class of '66 Old Fart Posted October 4, 2017 Posted October 4, 2017 We tracked him through this past AAU season. 2019 6-foot-5 shooting guard David Johnson has announced his decommittment from Louisville, “I’ve decided that I’ll be reopening my recruitment,” Johnson told Evan Daniels of Scout. Johnson originally pledged his allegiance to Louisville on September 15th. With the bribery scandal leading to Pitino’s recent departure, he has decided to reopen his recruitment. Kentucky and Xavier were two schools that showed significant interest in Johnson before he committed. Johnson is no. 61 overall and the no. 9 shooting guard per 247Sports for the Class of 2019. UK fans are saying Ayton from Arizona got 500k. It wouldn't surprise me at all for a top guy like him. It's funny though how UK fans acknowledge and believe Ayton got 500k but UK players don't get paid. LOLzzzzI just remember the 250k Davis rumors swirling. Who really knows how much they get. ? Hopefully the FBI. Sent from my iPhone using BtownBanners mobile app HoosierAloha, CR3AMnCR1MS0N and Toothdr 3 Quote
