Exactly right Pap. IU needs a PG in 2018. They don't need a big

Idk. I'd argue we need both. Would like higher level talents in both positions. Doesn't appear to be many big man options out there. A plethora of PG options.

Speaking of Phinisee. Are we even convinced he is better than Eric Hunter?

On that note. Hunter and Henry share OSU, X, and Butler in their top 6.

I know this is probably getting old but PG is about getting the right guy. The most important, for me. Bigs are important also, but IU is in with so many 4's for '19. 5 the staff can work on longer than they were afforded to with this class. Wiseman is still the test study for this staff but in it.

I'm welcoming a debate on IU's 1's vs 5's in this and the upcoming classes.

RP is better than Hunter for what IU needs. I think thats consensus, but I believe in general it's not all that close.

I'd stop thinking of Hunter. Good player, I like him a lot. Combo, will probably kill IU once in awhile at Nebraska or something.

Yeah. I like Hunter the same way others like Henry. Underrated/under appreciated. His final 6 out recently. He'll be a pretty good college "scoring guard".

On 1s vs 5s. It's tough.

We have DD as our 5. With Clifton and Juwan as nonideal back up 5s.

For 1s we have Green and Cujo and previous 1s but nonideal 1s. We might get Romeo who also plays the 1.

Big need in both spots. Unless mentioned players fill voids.

Good take pap. 2019 recruiting will really address the needs for bigs, or so i hope. Going to have to have attrition though for it. Nonideal. But probably likely.

I hope the fanbase doesn't take it hard. Sure, these kids do love IU but they were also sold on a different message and Archie is moving a different way. This happens in coaching changes. I also think Archie will cater to his core, he'd be silly not to.

One of your big concerns with RP was level of competition if I remember Wayne. Hunter played in the silver division while RP played in the higher division. This usually wouldn't matter that much to me but in Hunters case he plays class A in high school while RP plays 4a. When u play a math and science team twice, and a team of the school of the deaf, and a home school team during your regular season as games that count then some might be concerned and would want to see him play the highest level of competition when the opportunity comes up in AAU. Having said all of this I still think Hunter will be good in college I just have a hard time evaluating him

I've heard they have that killer instinct though. Always a tough matchup.

JF does nothing for me. Honestly bummed that we are apparently in good shape here. I just don't get it, even if we expect attrition. We're in on so many players in 19' that would eat Forrester's lunch. At the same position, no less.

Maybe it's an insurance policy after the 2019 stud forwards depart campus? Maybe it's CAM's end of bench guys?

I hope Archie takes after his brother in stacking up some bigs that can play.

Yep. I know little about JF, but I just don't want Watford, Brooks or Hurt to feel as though the frontcourt is too crowded for them at IU if JF were to sign with IU, although it has been mentioned that JM might graduate early.

I don't think any of those three would be worried about a lack of playing time. They would be instant starters imo.

For some reason the staff is recruiting him to play center at 6'8. Some seem to think he is 6'10 and forget he is only 6'8.

I think Devoe is the PG we want but he is a Florida lean, IMO the staff think Phinisee and Akinjo is the same.

The staff being 3 deep for RP's last game in Vegas is very telling in my opinion (CAM, Ostrom,Flint)

All I've seen is highlights, but he doesn't look like a center at all to me. I do trust the staff, but turning a 6'8, 200 pound guy into a BIG center? I don't see that working out well.

I have never seen anything like it but I really think they think he is 6'10

So is this one of those committable offers or a "wait and see" offer?
