Some of our guys have had an entire summer and the rest its been at least half. He'll be quite a ways behind. I love the redshirt, though. Four-star Race Thompson is headed to the Hoosiers. Four-star recruit Race Thompson verbally committed to Indiana on Sunday, according to D1 Minnesota coach Jeremy Miller. "The coaching staff, they did a great job recruiting him for the short time they were at IU," Miller told Scout. "They made Race a priority and made him feel really wanted. Thomn "The other thing that jumped out to him, was it was evident they have a great fan base and facilities," he added. Thompson, a 6-foot-7, strongly built power forward, picked the Hoosiers over Iowa State and a host of other high major schools that dabbled with him throughout the recruiting process. Indiana had Thompson on campus for an official visit and June, but their recruitment of him began when the new Hoosiers staff got to Bloomington. "Right out of the gate," Miller said when asked when IU prioritized Thompson. "They came out and watched him in Atlanta, but they were really, really familiar with him through their recruitment of McKinley Wright." "They had seen him previously seen him and Tommy Ostrom, the assistant that had been on him, works Minnesota really hard and he's known him since he was 14." Miller added.
