Uspshoosier Posted December 9, 2017 Author Posted December 9, 2017 Center Grove won 55-38. Not one of Trayce’s better games but got it going in the 4th. Got a T for taunting in 1st half and should of gotten another one in the 2nd but the center Grove bench got a warning. Lol. If he would of gotten a 2nd T I’m pretty sure he wouldn’t of been able to play tomorrow so I’m glad the home refs didn’t give him a 2nd T Sent from my iPhone using BtownBanners Stromboli and WayneFleekHoosier 2 Quote

Nothing out of the ordinary for a high school game. A lot of terrible calls but mostly stayed out of the way. They should of gave TJD the Second T for slamming ball on the court after he dunked it Sent from my iPhone using BtownBanners mobile app Class of '66 Old Fart 1 Quote
Class of '66 Old Fart Posted December 9, 2017 Posted December 9, 2017 FWIW box score shows TJD with 2 less points than Center Grove Hoops tweeted last night. CENTER GROVE 55, PIKE 38 Juniors Spencer Piercefield and Trayce Jackson-Davis combined for 33 points and Joey Klaasen added seven fourth-quarter points in a 19-8 stretch drive that helped the Trojans (5-0, 1-0) snap a four-year losing skid to the MIC rival Red Devils (1-3, 0-2), remaining unbeaten heading into today’s showdown with top-10 power Hamilton Southeastern. Class of '66 Old Fart Posted December 10, 2017 Posted December 10, 2017 INDIANAPOLIS – Hamilton Southeastern junior Aaron Etherington said Saturday afternoon’s game plan against Center Grove went something like this: “Don’t let Trayce (Jackson-Davis) destroy us,” Etherington said. Jackson-Davis, the 6-9 junior star, did his damage. Included in his day’s work was a dunk over HSE’s 7-2 Mabor Majak that brought the crowd at Southport Fieldhouse to its feet and 31 points, eight rebounds and seven blocked shots. But Jackson-Davis did not destroy the Royals. Class 4A fifth-ranked HSE survived for a 65-63 overtime win over previously-undefeated Center Grove as part of the six-game Forum Credit Union Tipoff Classic. HSE (5-0) completed a perfect week with wins over Fort Wayne North Side, North Central and Center Grove. “As young as we are, you never know how guys are going to respond in that situation,” HSE coach Brian Satterfield said. “We were excited to be invited to be a part of this. It means somebody thinks you are pretty good.” Etherington led HSE with 23 points and six rebounds and Noah Smith added 16 points and seven rebounds. The Royals led by nine early in the fourth quarter before Center Grove (5-1) rallied. The Royals knocked off the Trojans 67-63 in the Forum Tip-Off Classic. Joe Spears/IndyStar Center Grove had a chance in overtime after a Jackson-Davis steal with 2.4 seconds left. Satterfield had Majak guard the inbounder on the sideline and the pass intended for Jackson-Davis on the paint sailed over his head. If people did not know about Jackson-Davis before attending Saturday’s event, they certainly do now. Ranked as a top-50 national prospect in the junior class, Jackson-Davis was watched by Michigan State coach Tom Izzo on Friday night and Purdue coach Matt Painter on Saturday. “We have to be tougher,” Jackson-Davis said. “I thought we played pretty well but we should have won that game. It was overtime with a top-five team so I think we’re right there.” HSE plays Fishers on Friday and Pendleton Heights on Dec. 20 with the potential of taking an undefeated record into the holiday break. “Coming here and being in this atmosphere is special for these guys,” Satterfield said. “We have a lot of young guys who haven’t played in that type of situation. It's good for them as we get ready for tournament time down the road.” HoosierAloha 1 Quote

My intent was that if we're not going up against Duke, pUKe, KU, etc., we're not going after the level of recruits that we need. None of us want any more Aprils, Jurkins or Priller's taking up scholarships. ALASKA HOOSIER, Stuhoo, Stromboli and 4 others 7 Quote
