Then they should stop talking about it. Literally the only person making a huge deal out of this was Dakich talking to Katz and now Katz has spread it all over ESPN the last few days. ESPN is the main source that won't drop the Alford to IU talk

Before Dakich had Katz on his show the other day (Friday?), he was saying Katz was full of crap... Dakich's opinion changes with the wind if he thinks it will help is radio ratings...

I know insider or not though Glass was gonna go after Billy D. He wouldnt have made calls around the state asking about him of he didnt plan on it. This is Billy saying no. Nothing on Glass. I expect Donovan to regret it probably by mid year of next NBA season when RW goes on the trade block. Thunder have a knack for changing coaches when their roster changes too. Even back to their Seattle days.

I think I've gotta go with Bennett now. Love the defensive aspect. The 39 point tournament outing this weekend scared me at first, but if you look at the offensive ratings in previous years it's been quite solid. Looking more realistic than BD at this point and I'm fine with that. I don't know about recruiting particularly in IN, but he got Kyle Guy, so who knows. The main thing is is he ready to leave UVA?

Just want to point out, Virginia lost to the Mike White led Florida team. Maybe Virginia Offense was off, but could have something to do with the Florida Defense as well.

He has really been impressing me lately. I really like the way they play.

What concerns me how much of this Florida roster was Donovan's?

I've taken note of his success that's been pointed out on this board. I was totally unfamiliar with him beforehand. He does have a bright future, and his age is also a plus. I'd take him if Bennett doesn't work out. I can't decide about Marshall and Archie.

Were probably going with CSA here very soon. That means Coach Steve Alford. I dont want to believe it but since Billy is out it is SA or TB by looks of it from IU media guys. I am praying Bennett picks up some momentum with Glass though. I would be thrilled with Mike White but see him no where on list sides Albers.

That's a valid question. And I didn't really follow much until recently obviously. I will note that Donovan's last year there (14-15) they finished 16-17 and 8-10 in SEC.

The Fresh and Sophs on that team are now the Junior and Seniors leading this team.

Sorry Treesh but something isn't adding up. Multiple insiders, who have a history of being well sourced, confirm that there have been multiple meetings between IU and Donovan (his camp). If he has absolutely zero interest in coaching college again, then why would you entertain back channel feelers, let alone allow the school to waste energy and resources on furthering negotiations. Sorry I'm just trying to deduce this down to where it makes sense. As far as I see it, there are two possibilities with these rumors.

1.) multiple sources, who have been right multiple times in the past, have all of a sudden gotten identical yet bad info.

2.) Treesh's source isn't really a source and national media is being fed typical coach speak.

I honestly think Billy Donovan will be the next coach. I believe all this craziness is just a ploy to misdirect everyone from knowing the truth. Way too much smoke to be fire.

As far as I see it, we have 2 real options, based off of what info we've been given. 1.) Donovan 2.) Alford (dear god NOOOO!!!!)

Great minds think alike
