bhaggard89 Posted May 10, 2017 Posted May 10, 2017 Yeah, I'm fine with these guys "leaving early" to earn a paycheck at a skill that typically has a very short shelf life. The NCAA has a lot to blame for the trend. If you don't like it, contact the NCAA and let them know. Just my opinion. Best of luck to all IU players in the NBA draft! Come back during the off season and get your degree.I put the blame on the NBA. The NCAA has no rule on minimum length in school, it's the NBA that makes the silly rule that allows one-and-done players. Sent from my iPhone using BtownBanners mobile app Lebowski 1 Quote

Sent from my iPhone using BtownBanners mobile app Yeah, I suppose they have some role in it as well. The NCAA isn't allowing any compensation to the student-athletes, which has a lot to do with the student-athlete's decision to pursue opportunity. That's all I meant by my comment. Again, I don't blame anybody declaring for a professional sport draft. Money is money. You can earn a degree anytime in your life. Quote

doyle1984 Posted May 11, 2017 Posted May 11, 2017 If Rojo really wanted to come back he would have announced by now...he is for sure looking for his options out of B-Town. If he comes back it is because it was his last resort and if that's the case then I would rather have a Grad transfer who will be playing 100% for the name on the front of the jersey and not someone who came back to IU because nothing else popped upSent from my iPhone using BtownBanners mobile app recker222000, waitingon6, ALASKA HOOSIER and 1 other 4 Quote

reconmkd Posted May 11, 2017 Posted May 11, 2017 https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=n2WWStiexkA&feature=player_embedded I saw this on inside the hall. How refreshing would it have been over the last 8 years, if our offense was could react to a defense that shut down the transition offense in this way. To immediately react and not waste 15-20 seconds of shot clock trying to figure out what to do. Though it is still really early since CAM was hired, I really think he is going to flip the script on fundamentals at IU with all of the videos and articles I have seen that display "his" game. His players seem to know and understand how to counteract a defense and that is something that we have been missing for awhile. Str8Hoosiers and Hoosier DaDa 2 Quote

You can't substantiate anything because you do not know RoJo. If he wants to get out of Btown so bad I find it odd that he is still on campus as of Tuesday night. Secondly, thinking that a random grad transfer will for some reason play harder than someone who has been here for 3 years is also pure conjecture. ElectricBoogaloo, VO5, Stuhoo and 2 others 5 Quote

Not sure if those are the best players from the "previous generation to use as comparisons. Sure, Bird had back problems largely due to his all-out style of play, but Isiah had a bad injury (which may or may not be addressed differently now) and Magic had HIV. ALASKA HOOSIER 1 Quote
