Or he was just throwing things at the wall and this happened to stick with Blackmon and Bryant? His theory on Johnson has yet to be proven. He has a 50/50 chance of being right on these no matter what so it doesn't mean he didn't write something out of the blue for attention and happened to be right.

Exactly. I would be totally 100% also so far on the three decisions but i did not tweet it out. That guy is not connected. Id say 60/40 on rojo leaving imo.

What is college basketball as you knew it? Like CBB 20 years ago? It has been this way for a decade. CBB is like a course for a profession(NBA). You either pass(NBA, DL or international) or fail and do something else.

College basketball has been changing always but especially since the one and done rule was instituted. It is now jumping to the next level of change where kids are leaving some prestigious programs for DLeague or other before their time is up.

Speaking of which, where is Goodluck Okonboh these days? ( I honestly don't know)

The game today is much different than 15 years ago. I'm not talking about on the court. It's the landscape of recruiting, agents, pro options, etc. To me, the college game is slowly losing its foothold of what it had always been.

Yeah, I'm fine with these guys "leaving early" to earn a paycheck at a skill that typically has a very short shelf life.  The NCAA has a lot to blame for the trend.  If you don't like it, contact the NCAA and let them know.  Just my opinion.

Best of luck to all IU players in the NBA draft!  Come back during the off season and get your degree.

I wouldn't understand the logic in RoJo leaving.  He wouldn't even be a D-league starter at this point....certainly not any kind of featured player.  His route through the D League to the NBA would be INCREDIBLY rough and long -- not to mention the fact that it in all liklihood wouldn't happen. If he is thinking there is NBA in his future (which, while I love him, I don't), the quickest route is to put up a good year where he is the featured scorer at IU.  If he is looking overseas, that might be a different answer....but even then, getting a guaranteed money overseas is certainly easier to get coming off a better year than he had last year.

My college basketball is dying take is not tied to Rojo's decision at all.

I personally think he is coming back. The "source" is the guy who had it out with Rabjohns regarding Blackmon signing an agent. I don't even care about Rojo's decision much. Our results will be similar with or without him.

THE FACT that Rojo and others like him who have little to no shot at the NBA are leaving college basketball (or even considering) for DLeague, etc, is all the indication I need to know that College Basketball as we know it is dying. Unless changes are made we may actually be watching student athletes playing college basketball again.

Rojo is Indiana's version, so I use his example initially but my stance is formulated by national college basketball stories. Peoples opinions of college basketball aren't the same as it used to be.

I get what you mean man. But this is what college basketball is in this day and age. The goal is to get to the NBA as quick as possible

You got it and once they get the nba in their head good luck getting them to come back. I think he may be gone but it is what it is.

High school basketball is to AAU as college basketball is to the NBA. The game and the priorities are changing. Can't do anything about it. The college game is becoming similar to the NBA from a style and rules standpoint and probably will eventually be the same. Whether I like it or not makes no difference, it's going to happen anyway. If I dislike the product enough I'll stop watching. In the meantime, I'll continue to watch and support Coach Miller, who I think will be terrific, and the Hoosiers.

I put the blame on the NBA. The NCAA has no rule on minimum length in school, it's the NBA that makes the silly rule that allows one-and-done players.

Yeah, I suppose they have some role in it as well.  The NCAA isn't allowing any compensation to the student-athletes, which has a lot to do with the student-athlete's decision to pursue opportunity.  That's all I meant by my comment.  Again, I don't blame anybody declaring for a professional sport draft.  Money is money.  You can earn a degree anytime in your life.

If Rojo really wanted to come back he would have announced by now...he is for sure looking for his options out of B-Town. If he comes back it is because it was his last resort and if that's the case then I would rather have a Grad transfer who will be playing 100% for the name on the front of the jersey and not someone who came back to IU because nothing else popped up
