AZ Hoosier Posted March 24, 2017 Posted March 24, 2017 Arizona choked big time... up 8 with about 3:45 to go and lose by 2. Yogi's Picnic Basket 1 Quote
TheWatShot Posted March 24, 2017 Posted March 24, 2017 Arizona's postseason history is littered with heartbreaking collapses, but usually it doesn't happen until they're in the Elite 8. I remember watching them lose to Illinois in overtime after being up 15 with about 4 minutes left. I would never get over that. Quote
Hoosier Guy Posted March 24, 2017 Posted March 24, 2017 Not surprising at all. That's my one reservation with Sean Miller. He finds ways to falter in the NCAA tournament Josh 1 Quote

Zona was a good team this season and I don't buy Chris Mack...but I had Arizona losing this game on my bracket because that's what Sean Miller doesHire Billy! Maybe Grayson shouldn't have tripped Santa Ana with that being three times in a calendar year. Quote

pumpfake Posted March 24, 2017 Posted March 24, 2017 Four really fun games to watch (3 close and 1 broilee bashing). Some odd thoughts: - Happy to see PU do what they do, but it's kind of B.S. that teams (KU) end up getting to play what amounts to a home game after the first weekend. - Gonz v WV: While I preferred to see Gonz lose, it is somehow satisfying to see that little things like FT shooting are still important. - Gonz v WV: Maybe just semantics, but characterizing that critical FU as an 'inadvertent' whistle is baloney. It didn't appear to be an accidental whistle - it was a blown call by the looks of how the official right there reacted. Still, they got it right in the end. - PU v KU: Parts of that game were like a 3 point shooting clinic (same as Mich v Ore). Makes me believe, more and more, that maybe the line needs to be moved back to NBA distance. - X v AZ: Very good game, but didn't seem like the same level of offense as the other 3 games. My impressions are incomplete because I didn't see all of the first half and only parts of the early second half. (I fell asleep. Knew I shouldn't have stayed up until 2 am the previous night) Quote
Class of '66 Old Fart Posted March 24, 2017 Posted March 24, 2017 Warmed this old man's heart to read this in Kravitz's column: Early in the game, the Boilers led 33-25. The rest of the way, Kansas outscored Purdue 73-33. Alford Bailey, AZ Hoosier, Stuhoo and 1 other 4 Quote
